Colton Hood out for year?

Callahan when asked about Hood:

"I’ve been told that he has a calf injury. I’m guessing he’s going to be listed as questionable Wednesday night. It’s definitely possible that he could play this week, but I think the “questionable” tag would be pretty legitimate if that’s what Tennessee ends up going with later this week. We’ll see how he progresses over the next couple days."

"The question is how severe the injury (presumably a strain) is, but what I've heard suggests it's not a very bad injury."

We just need OK to be stupid like Kentucky and waste downs trying to run the ball. We played well against the run especially without Arion. Perlotte and Spillman had big games and 40plus snaps each. If they just throw the ball every snap...we clearly are incapable of stopping them missing both starting Corners, with terrible Safety play, and with Boo giving half ass effort and taking plays off. Lets hope they want to run it.
Ill bet he sits on Saturday and against NMS. Then we have the bye week and he'll play against Florida.

If Hood is out the offense must play absolutely perfect football and the defensive line must get to the QB often. Or OU will end any chance the Vols have of the playoffs.
We definitely have to get to the quarterback. That is the most important thing I think in stopping them. And if we can’t get there with 4 I think we’re gonna have to bring 5-6. We have to make it hard on Mateer. We also have to tackle much better than last week. GBO

Basically, in a nutshell, what Callahan is trying to say is, "he'll either play, or he won't play."

Yeah I like Bull, but it seems he rarely steps outside without the orange-tinted glasses on.
I also think if people arent pumping sunshine non-stop then theyre hated on for being "too negative". Cainer gets a lot of flack for his criticism. He could argue that Saban does it and he is considered the goat because of it.

Nebraska has apparently won 2 games this year just off ST and their fan base is obsessed with Ek. I think he has a job there as long as he wants. He definitely seems to be missed here.
Missing the eye for talent that knows a “fart in a skillet” when he sees it. 🍳

That's wild to me. I've listened to LOV quite a bit and the only thing I could see getting even a little rankled by is when he isn't a homer in his picks (ie UGA and Alabama games this year). Anyone who thinks he's negative needs to scroll through a game thread on here sometime.

At this point we should just let teams score and try and out score them. If he's out we have zero chance at all of stopping Oklahoma throwing the ball.
I think thats why they use prevent defense each week. They want them to make long drives to give our offense a rest, then BAM, we score is 2 minutes and their offense is right back on the field again! Its called the dope-a-dope defense!
