Without knowing your age, Cool Beans is a younger crowd with a line down the street to get in. There are plenty of places in the Old City and on Gay, but that's a decent hike to the game.

I hardly ever get to K-town anymore, and I've been interested in trying out some of the Old City places, but I was there last summer (2024), and my wife and I stayed downtown. We ducked into Clancy's on Gay for an evening sandwich and a beer, and I have to say, I really liked the place. The food was good, the atmosphere was great for a week night. Cool place.

I agree with the posters who mentioned Saloon 16. You can also hang out in the hotel's lobby (they serve food and drinks and there is a big screen TV with a game playing and plenty of seats). Also, you're a short walk to Gus's Deli and hoagie on dark.
