Vols have one of the best booster situations in the SEC. I don't know where LSU is going to come up with the cash to buy out Kelly and then bankroll a brand new HC and staff. Plus, today's rumor is Sark is leaving for the NFL, so TX could also be open. The price is going north of $ 10 mil now and it wouldn't surprise me to see someone get a $ 15 mil contract. The worse part of the LSU job is you have to live in Baton Rouge. Eish!

LSU has oil and gas money as well. That seems to fly under the radar when people talk about the state of Louisiana, but there are some big time oil companies there. A number of those companies have Tiger mega donors.

I don’t necessarily thinks he leaves, but you have to realize it’s most likely not about the money. lane even pointed to this yesterday on the PM show. You can’t do anything with 12 million a year that you can’t already do with 8-9 million a year, within reason. A 20% raise to someone already a millionaire is nothing like a 20% raise to someone making 40K a year.

Florida and LSU are both no doubt better jobs in the football realm than OM. If he leaves it’s for text reason. Not a few bucks.

Exactly!!!! If people aren’t seeing red flags with this hc and staff, I suggest you wake up!

I appreciate what Heupel has done in stabilizing the program, but he’s not exactly the most nimble or proactive in managing several things, all things which make the difference in 9-3 v. Actually playing for championships.

We are lucky THIS season in not having to look for a coach, unless he is poached, so we can hope he makes needed improvements so we don’t have to look for a coach in 2-3 years! But if he doesn’t make the improvements, we will be shopping again in 2027-2028.

Bottom line is, we already know enough!

"Journalism," as we used to call it--is dead. None of have a crystal ball, but we all have an opinion. Can Heupel take advantage of the turmoil and pull some talent to a stable program in Knoxville? There will be a lot of hungry players in the portal who want a chance at a championship.

Do we have the NIL and support to benefit from this or do you think Heupel is stuck in his ways?
