The Atlanta Braves

Never mind they spent 6 hours intentionally walking folks to get to him lol
was peak bold choice cotton

~considering~

no one in the history of the fricken planet has as many go ahead HRs in playoff history ~and~ considering how close he came a few inning before lol

MR. WORLD SERIES

From a 5.22 ERA in 22 regular season innings to Sandy Koufax walking down to the clubhouse to personally congratulate you on a job well sone

That cinched his place in Cooperstown, as if it wasn’t already cinched.
He booked his ticket to Cooperstown last year with the WS performance.

He's still going pretty strong at 36, though he has hit the decline stage. 69 hits away from 2500. Decent chance he can reach 3000 if he can stay healthy and good enough to start over the next 4 years. He's also 178 RBIs away from 1500.

I believe only 8 primary 1b all time have had 2500 hits and 1500 RBIs, and only 4 of them since 1960.

Plus the accolades add up. MVP, WS MVP, 9x AS, 3x SS, etc.

The Dodgers PA absolutely have to keep blaring music or that stupid organ is just ruining some of these moments
Is it just me, or does the music/organ at Dodger Stadium sound much louder on TV broadcasts than it does anywhere else? PA announcer too. You can very clearly and loudly hear whatever is being played over them, and at other stadiums it is fairly muffled on TV.

You forgot the part where he very likely ends up top 5 all time in doubles

It is absolutely terrible and much louder. The Braves organist, its background noise and doesn’t play between every at-bat. That Dodgers guy think he’s Sabrina Carpenter or something, the start of the show. He can **** off forever

This organization not only is letting Ronnie play in World Baseball Classic but these dumbasses are letting playing WINTER BALL?!?!?

I'm sure their concerns were voiced. But Ronnie is gonna do what he wants in his free time.

He's played winter ball in Venezuela every year he's been healthy. He loves playing for his home country.

To add to this, Freddie needs 33 HRs and 153 doubles to become only the second person ever to hit 400 HRs and 700 doubles. Stan the Man the only other to do so.

Abomination that he did not spend his entire career here.

He will also easily finish with over 1500 RBIs and 1500 runs scored.

When the smoke clears, his career will settle in the same bracket statistically with some of the best players to ever live. A 0.05 % professional baseball player.

And we let him walk over an extra year or two at an already extremely discounted rate

And most importantly, don’t forget where you heard it first that he was Hall of Fame bound (me). A decade ago, and almost as important don’t forget who laughed at me (@TBrown) when I said so as well as said that he would have a much better career than Jason Hayward when they both broke in with the big club.

If payroll didn't go up even further, I might excuse letting him walk.

But we gave Olson basically the same contract he was wanting. And then we went over the luxury tax a couple years later. Really baffling how that all played out.

It's been 15 years and you can't get it right?
