Is this a good thing? Genuinely curious I dont know much about betting

It shows the line is moving as you’d expect it to, which means no shenanigans this game if you’re a bit of a conspiracy theorist like I am when it comes to this stuff.

Early in the week though so I always watch it throughout.

I’m nervous about this game. No matter how pedestrian the opposing offense is, I don’t trust our defense. I think we need to score 35-38 points to win. OU’s defense is pretty good and I think will bog down our offense at times.

Need Neyland to be the difference!

Actually i had this wrong. The line is going in the opposite direction. It opened at 4. All the money is on Tennessee. The line SHOULD increase until the action evens out.

With the line shrinking it looks like they want to induce MORE action on Tennessee.

Not a good sign.

I have good news for you. We’ve only scored less than 34 one time this year. Avg 45 ppg

Venables has convinced me, we’re going to win by even more than I thought 😈

Sec podcast said that one thing that ole miss did that allowed them to have so much success is they stayed in the huddle late and then went up to the line late and snapped it. This prevented Venebles from “stealing signs” which he’s supposedly really good at, or deciphering what we’re doing as the game goes on.

Supposedly Ohio state did the same thing to them years ago in a bowl game and had great success against their defense.

Hope we do the same.

All I know is..we have to win..

These next few games are all tossups thanks to our putrid defense. We really need them to step up and take some pressure off the offense....I just don't think they can.

Uga did the same thing but really quickly as far as playclock goes so that our lazy a$$ fans wouldn’t have much of an impact by the time they got loud (if they did).

Win and stay alive for CPF👊🏻🍊
Heard some guys last night saying “this isn’t a play in game for the playoffs but it is a play out game”
Lose and you’re out of playoff contention.

Line continues to drop. Now at Tennessee -2.5

54% of the tickets are for Oklahoma, but 96% of the money wagered is on Tennessee

With so much of the money on Tennessee minus, it makes no sense for the line to keep dropping like it is.

Something smells about this game

Can you explain your concern to a non-bettor. I don’t know what it means when the line drops and money is coming in favoring one team.
What in the significance of that?

I don’t bet anymore but I always paid attention to stuff like this.

The line opened at -4. All the money came in on Tennessee minus four.

Meaning if Tennessee wins by at least 4 points, Vegas loses its butt.

Vegas doesn’t like to lose money.

So what you would expect to see is Vegas adjust the line higher (-5, -5.5 etc) until there was about a 50% distribution in money. That’s what Vegas seeks generally and they just make money off the vig.

With the line decreasingc it’s like Vegas isn’t afraid of losing and is trying to induce more people to take Tennessee.

Only way Vegas doesn’t get destroyed in the game is if Oklahoma covers or wins.
