I’m embarrassed that I wasn’t 100% confident prior to the past few days. He’s going to continue the success at LNS.

The guy really is a Good Dude.

UT may have taken a temporary hit in the "Thirsty Women Looking For A Single, Rich Man" demographic...

But after the meeting room video over the weekend and today's press conference I can confirm the "Nanas and Mamaws That Love Any and All Grandbabies" Demo is ready to run through a wall for Elander and his family (if my mother is any indication).

There it is. On a thread where we should all be celebrating a good hire of a deserving coach made by Danny White in consultation with vested interests in Tennessee baseball, you want to make this all about you.

Don't like Basilio? Don't listen to him.

Be happy we stand a great shot of maintaining the elite level baseball program we have now.

Elander signed off his press statement with a statement of purpose, echoing Coach Summitt and pledging to outwork his competitors.

If you watched the press conference, then you would have known that.

I went from not being 100% convinced that Elander was a slam dunk hire to being convinced that he was absolutely a grand slam hire. The players’ reactions and the overwhelming support of past and present players tells me it was a no brainer decision. Congrats to Coach Elander and his family!

PS. I didn’t recognize him without the beard! He looks 10 years younger and 30lbs skinnier without the beard.

Yeah that was a shock at how much different he looks. Maybe he couldn't afford a trimmer

The Marriott Marquis is the only place I could recommend. Two blocks from Daikin Park. There’s Biggio’s at ground level and a Salt Grass Steakhouse really close. A number of other nice bistros in the area.

Talk whatever trash you want to Danny White, but at least he stopped and listened to the overwhelming support from the players and the boosters.

He has an ego the size of Mt LeConte, but the sign of a good leader is that they stop and listen when it is clear the people who report to them push hard enough.
