2026 Lady Vols Recruiting

Who said Trinity has eliminated the Lady Vols?

Pretty sure we eliminated her not the other way around. She’s been doing WAY too much. Keeps adding new visits based on whoever will write her the biggest check. Not Kim’s kind of kid. She’ll play at multiple schools, almost a guarantee just based on her recruitment being such a mess.

Thanks for the explanation! And the tone of your post, too 🙂

This selection of school tells you everything you need to know as someone said she will be playing for multiple schools in her career
Clemson only does rev sharing and it’s less than 5 %. I think they have someone to help them get deals, but as far as paying players like we do, they’re not doing it

Overtime Select. Go watch Overtime Select and you’ll see none of these guards in this 2026 class is a Fab “anything” compared to the 2025 class in Deniya Prawl, Mia, and Mya Pauldo when they played head to head on the court.
Jaida Civil didn’t play in the Overtime Select but her being a McDonald’s All-American and arguably right now one of the best players on a Top 10 (#8) ranked Tennessee team is all you need to know.
The coaches been telling this fanbase that since the freshmen class of five guards stepped on campus. One article talked about Hurst height and how she’s a solid 6’3 so she might be playing more of the 4 at Tennessee.
They weren’t going to overlook the 2026 guards and not have official visits… yet thinking this staff was about to sign or go all-in on all these guards in a weaker guard class just doesn’t make no sense.

I am wondering how often a program lands a top five class the year after landing a large highly rated class? I would guess coaches would really use that in negative recruiting.
Big O had enough confidence to sign on plus she is not a guard.
If I were a class of 2026 and a guard I would look at our roster and consider how I would weave through the guards already here over the next three years.
Think kids in the transfer portal might have a little more maturity and see the pluses regardless of last years class.

It’s common for teams to have a down recruiting year after signing a big class like we did last season.

LSU hasn’t recruited as well for the same reason this cycle. They can’t make any promises on playing time and have a full, talented roster.

Big Oh was the only player we really NEEDED to sign in this class because we’re losing a lot of size and needed to replace it with some young talent. The rest of what we need (one/two more forward and a shooting guard) can be picked up from the portal.

Amazing how spread out the 2026 5 stars have been. This is to our benefit given that we got a Fab5 last year but not this year. Even better if we get a plus one later.

Alll trying to get the biggest bag so it’s spreading them out. Most programs only throw big money at one recruit.

I actually like this, I think it’s making the sport more competitive and creating parity which the women’s game has struggled with.

Historically all the top 10 recruits would end up at about 3 schools (uconn, ND and SC). Now they are all over the board!

Go somewhere with that nonsense👆. At this point it’s becoming comical how hard these few posters trying to spin recruiting.
CKC and Lazo have a commitment from the no. 2 overall recruit. If they want to add 1 or 2 more they’ll add 1 or 2 more players to the HS class.

On this message forum amongst maybe 3-5 posters is one thing, inside the program and majority of the fanbase once Oliviyah Edwards committed to Tennessee this staff won the recruiting cycle alongside Southern Cal.
A few posters on here are unrealistic and will always be if they honestly believe this is not a great recruiting cycle by solely landing Oliviyah Edwards.
It does no good to even have a discussion if things are becoming this poorly misconstrued.

I’m not sure if you’ve seen it but if not check out the article on Jaida Civil published today by KnoxNews.
Mia Pauldo was selected as the #4 Impact Freshmen by ESPN. Deniya Prawl was selected as the #6 incoming freshmen by CBS Sports.
Three McDonald’s All-Americans. Lauren Hurst and Mya Pauldo are straight grinding too. This group has received nothing but praise from Coach Caldwell and her staff from day 1

I agree. This class is our Fab 5. GBO.
