Not sure why you are arguing about it. it is right there in the article I posted dated this Sept.
You pretty much replied to me two times since last night that is wasnt even a possibility, but whatever.
I don’t care how many he’s played - sue the NCAA for another year.According the article he’s out of eligibility which means he already used his “Pavia year” that allowed Pavia to play this year.
*IF* the legal challenge is successful and courts deem the RS rule goes against antitrust laws, *then* he would get 1 more year.
So as I said, he used his Pavia year this year. Maybe you’re thinking “Pavia year” refers to this current court challenge?
There’s nothing at all likable about him. He’s as phoney as it gets.Insane how many current and recent LSU players are on Twitter basically celebrating Brian Kelly’s dismissal. They must have really hated him. I guess NIL will make you commit anywhere if the price is right even if you hate the coach.
All valid points to consider. At the end of it I trust Heupel to discern if the issues this year are injury / personnel related or coordinator related. He obviously knows you can’t win a championship with dead last type defense. So it’ll be interesting to see what takes place after the season. Here is my Tim Banks take. I think he has earned another year to right the ship.
He came into a dumpster fire on defense in 2021 and has shown improvement year over year with the culmination of an ELITE defense in 2024. We don't win 10 games without that defense.
We all knew there would be some regession from the 2024 team but this degree of slippage is unfathomable. Doesn't help that our best cover corner hasn't played a snap or our 2nd best corner has only played 1 quarter this year. On top of Hobbs missing the first 6 games and Moi getting hurt the 1st defensive possession of the season and the next 3 games. Not ideal.
Some people believe its the personnel more so than the coordinator. While I do believe that's part of the reason we haven't played well, ultimately, it all falls on the guy who is calling the defense lap. We have been cheeks on defense this year. All criticism is fair imo. I'm in the camp that we are who we are at this point and only hope we can fix it next year similar to how our offense has right(ed) the ship this year.
Only time will tell.
You can only have that ******* persona with everyone if you actually win.Insane how many current and recent LSU players are on Twitter basically celebrating Brian Kelly’s dismissal. Don’t you know those are Heisman numbers?? Appalling that he is getting serious run for the Heisman, yet the #1 QB in the SEC isn’t even being mentioned. Josh needs to come out with balls to the wall with the offense again this week, and let Joey throw it for 400 against OU. Maybe that would finally put him on the Heisman radar but probably not.He was 10-19 for 129 yards and an interception yesterday.
I wouldn’t even rank Florida as number 2, that would be Penn State. Hell, because of all the behind the scenes fiascos and backstabbing in terms of leadership, I’m not even sure I’d put it at 3 or 4. Arkansas and Oklahoma State may be more enticing since they at least have more stability on that front.LSU is the best job opening as of now. Sorry Florida
Penn state will be hard to hire. Remember prerequisite for that job is covering up SAI wouldn’t even rank Florida as number 2, that would be Penn State. Possible however does a great coach touch that place with a 10 foot pole after axing the HC who was 34-14? It’s gotten harder to get coaches to leave with all the money in college football now. I am going to be intrigued if Clark Lea leaves Vandy. He has to know his stock will never be higher after this year. This is a once in a lifetime run for them. Surely he knows he can’t build something there to do this consistently, although I do think he’s a great coach.LSU is the best job opening as of now. Sorry Florida
See, the thing is, our roster is considerably better than 2021’s roster on the defensive side of the ball. That ‘21 defense ranked 90th in scoring and ypg with a much faster offense so they were also on the field longer. This year we rank in the 110’s in ypg allowed and ppg allowed with more talent on the defensive side of the ball and less plays per game as well. Here is my Tim Banks take. I think he has earned another year to right the ship.

Gonna reply to my own post and say, put a Bama, Georgia, or Texas uniform on Joey, and I guarantee you he is the favorite to win the Heisman right now.Don’t you know those are Heisman numbers??
