Tennessee vs Duke (Exh) Official Game Thread - 7pm ESPN2

I get why we’re 18th now, size, depth & talent is there but really lacking chemistry right now.

We will get better every night. Duke seems pretty loaded and playing midseason form, of course they’re not playing many bench guys or messing with lineups any.

The Rick Barnes defense is not apparent on this team yet. Lot.of guys just rolling right around our guys to get to the basket.
I think this is my biggest takeaway. In addition, Boozer is legit - looks like a lottery pick for sure.

I think we will be much better come January / this team ans these lineups need time to gel.

Right now the rankings look about right Duke 6 and UT 18.

The refs clearly are just taking the night off. Horrible effort from them. Several missed walks. At one point Ament posted up and they pulled both of his arms behind his back.

Yeah, it’s looking like a team that won’t gel straight away. We definitely need to prepare for some ugly November games I think.

Better last 3mns team playing with more intensity as Duke was playing with more the first 5

Think I heard them say that Duke lost a ton and has a very new team?

This Duke squad over defends ball handler, if they play a good passing team that can hit from deep they’ll be in trouble.

But with their length and speed, passing out of their trapping will be a challenge.
