The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

So fun fact I learned today: Titans (currently) have the 10th or 11th toughest strength of schedule this year.

Pretty much meaning at the moment, the odds are they would lose any tiebreaker against same record teams when it comes to draft position at the end of the year (other than maybe Cleveland).

I truly dont fathom how a team of professionals can be this bad.

This is worst than some of the bad Lions teams I've seen play.
Two years ago the front office pretty much decided it wanted to go the route more or less of “f— it, blow everything on the team up and start over.”

This is the result gotten with that approach.

Still tho. Even bad teams are usually good at something. I dont see anything this roster is good at doing.

If you could trade Ward, and get a second top 10 pick this year, would you do it?
No.

I know a lot of ppl are ready to "sell" ward but there are some flashes of talent. Can't fully evaluate until there are upgrades in his teammates.
Something additional about him I've noticed is he is always encouraging his offense players even when it's lousy. If, and this is a huge if, he can put it all together with a compliment of players around him he can be very special.

Im not out on him, but this roster is so bad multiple first round picks is about the only way to dig out of the hole.

I don’t think you’d get that. While potential is still there, some of the struggles in play so far aren’t enough to keep it in the first round range (…especially if any team scouts, etc, have any concerns that getting 6 times a game might be impacting/impairing said development…an offensive line being as bad as this one has been really makes it difficult to properly judge any player on that side of the ball’s actual value).

I don’t think a team - knowing the Titans are bad enough that their season is done and they might willingly sell off some parts - is going to go that high (heck they might try to argue they can’t go past a 2nd round pick)

Yes, same here.

Cam is ok.

But, yes..having two ballers better than one.

We need around 52 more to go with Simmons.. lol
It honestly doesn’t matter until you have an offensive line that isn’t spending each season in the top 5 in sacks allowed and pressures allowed.

Nothing’s going to improve on a team whose offense line changes have yielded: 5th most sacks allowed —> 5th most sacks allowed —> currently 2nd most sacks allowed in the league this year.
(to be honest, there’s a fair chance the guy’s going to get David Carr’d at this point)

Jerry Jones..lol

But yeah, Cam certainly isn't worth that high of price at this point in his career.
