Their defense is legit against garbage offenses like Auburn, Michigan, and Texas, just to name a few. Today was the first day they played a good offense and they got torched.

Defenses will do better when the offense is allowing them to rest. Our offense scores so quickly that at times the defense has no rest - can be the same effect as a 3 and out.

We were clicking in the first quarter - scoring both offensively and defensively. But that ultimately ends up with our defense being out on the field a very long time and that probably contributed to that long 8 plus minute drive.

Teams that score a lot and score quickly, typically will be scored upon.

hey I never trashed Huepel. also I would invite you to go back and watch the comments from coach at the end of the first half. he agrees 💯 with me. you would do well to see your surroundings more accurately because it's a bad look when you don't read the room well. if Heupel thinks his own defense is underperforming how do you justify throwing barbs at fans like me? I'll go ahead and answer that question there is no justification for it.

So you haven’t haven’t been part of this growing chorus saying he will never win a title, he never fires anyone, and so on? I find that hard to believe as your posts are quite predictably negative. It doesn’t matter, post away, I just made an observation, like you did.

no your observation was wrong. I never said any of those things. I'm simply pointing out the obvious.i like Heupel but he needs to fire his cronies and get real coaches before he ruins his career. I never posted that tho.

Come on man. Be so serious. At least do a little research before saying these things.

Oklahoma is not who we thought they were at the beginning of the season. Mateer is averaging barely 200 yards and less than a touchdown per game since his surgery. Oklahoma averages less than 20 points per game in that span.

Florida hasn't scored more than 30 points since week 1 against Long Island University lol

Vandy averages 24 points per game in conference play.

I just don't think any of these teams can keep up with our offense and the way they're clicking right now. They're going to score points sure. I just know we're going to score more. Our defense just needs to make just enough plays to give us a cushion in these games. Calling these games a loss is silly.

Ok, if you say so I have no reason to think otherwise. It sure seems like I see a lot of negative from you though. Like I said, it doesn’t matter, just an observation from several recent posts I’ve seen. Maybe I’m just happening across the more negative ones.

Banks is the DC.

We had Bishop and Lewis at RB returning and went for Star Thomas anyway.

We didn’t get any WRs because we intentionally wanted those guys to start and play extensively.

Problem is, our defense is on the field longer and we needed more starter bodies at safety and DT. Having Turrentine and Farooq x 2 is better than having them as they are. Neither one is that good, but then we compound that, by not getting more players at least at their level.

That’s a fact! So to YOUR point. If you’re the DC- how could you not see that?

We need 2 more older guys form the portal and either Combay, Moa, or Wyatt to play with Farooq. We just have Farooq coming back.
So are we going to make the same mistake two years in a row?

As bad as it’s been, our defense isn’t the primary reason for our 2 losses.

They gave up 44 to UGA.
37 to Alabama.

That game was Stocktons best game.
Boley passed for 5 TDs for Kentucky last night.
Simpson was completing like 90% of his passes at one point against us lol.

UAB almost had 400 yards of offense.

Whats done is done. Banks can’t undo his unproductive offseason. But as long as the defense continues to be an issue then I will continue to point out why.

The defense most certainly did not give up 37 points to Bama.

It’s impossible for anyone with a brain cell to say the defense gave up 37 points to an opponent when the opponent’s offense only scored on 4 out of 9 drives.

But sure, make up fake stats.
