We are not getting in. Too many ahead of us unfortunately. Would take a miracle to get in.

Texas A&M
Alabama..... (bad officiating/poor decision making)
Georgia..... (slipped through our fingers)
Ole Miss
Vandy.....which we can take care of.

Blaming that loss on the kicker is just sad. Rewind the tape to when we recovered a fumble and instead of scoring coaches tried to run out the clock. That was how we lost that game
That's the series that ticked me off. Joey was playing well and Brazz was also.
Needed to scheme up something and tried for a TD. Had to play to win that game instead of playing not to lose because our Bend then Collapse Defense wasn't going to get it done

At the beginning of the season, most predicted us to be 8-4 or 9-3 with losses to Georgia and Alabama. That happened.

The other potential losses were to either Oklahoma or Florida, or both. I think we beat Oklahoma at home and we also beat Vandy - also thankfully at home.

The only remaining game that I think that we have a shot at losing is Florida. That is based on our history of losing to them, despite them having inferior teams to us and it’s at Florida.

If we get past Florida, we will be 10-2 and we will get into the playoffs. That would be an amazing job by this team. Especially how it started with all of the offseason drama at QB.

What has OU done to impress anyone. Where are their wins and look at how few of points they have scored against SEC teams. Same with Vandy. Vandy looks good but I don’t think they can stop our O and they are not a scoring juggernaut are they?
Against our defense Pavia will look like that HeisTman QB Vandy keeps saying he is.

That’s the combined conference record of our three SEC wins. I doubt 10-2 gets us in the playoff unless the SEC gets five teams. We’re going to need a lot of help outside the conference for that to happen.
Lose to Vandy, we out.
Beat Vandy (and the other two conf games), we in.

You may cross this reason for anxiety off of your list.

We have an 8 game body of work and here’s what we know. Our passing game is elite when the receivers don’t drop the ball. Our running game is very good when the D doesn’t load the box leading to big passing numbers. Our D is opportunistic at times but basically just awful too much of the time.

If we can’t score at least 30+ points, then the odds are against us winning against SEC opponents. There’s parity in the conference unlike I ever remember with no sure wins outside of Ky and they have made some of their conference games interesting. The way our D has been playing, the odds of winning all 3 remaining SEC games are small, but beat OK and things may look better. CJH has his work cut out for him.

At this point i really don’t even care about the playoffs for this year, I didn’t expect it with what we lost and the QB trade drama, if we can get to 9-3 or 10-2 and end up missing the playoffs narrowly, we’ll end up with a high tier no -playoff bowl and finish the year way better than any of us honestly expected.

Ok. 0-13 is the record of the 3 teams we have beaten.

7-1 is the conference record of the two teams who have beaten us.

Whats your point? We have beaten who we are supposed to beat, and we have lost to teams that everyone else has lost to as well.

Just take care of business from here on out.
