Neither could be that curious to know. Just study the facts. It is not a complicated process to figure out. Tennessee doesn’t need any guard out of HS in the 2026 class. They signed 5 in the 2025 class including 3 McDonald’s All-Americans as part of the #1 recruiting class via 247Sports and #2 recruiting class via ESPN. They also have Kaniya Boyd 2024 Top 30 recruit with 3 years of eligibility remaining and Talaysia Cooper 1st Team All-SEC and McDonald’s All-American with two years of eligibility. If any of these players hit the portal and the HS prospect(s) getting this attention from fans end up in there maybe at that time it’ll be of significance. Right now, this particular commitment decision is insignificant.
Simple math.

Still very curious what happened here?
Could've been a lot of reasons didn't like the system we run, liked a few other schools better, not enough NIL money for what she was expecting. No one likes the same things will be interesting to see where she lands. Of course we wanted her, but not a dire need as we have Boyd, Cooper, Depauldo twins, Civil, and Prawl all back next season. I still think we might want to add a solid three point shooter to these players if available from the portal.

Last I heard she was strongest with TCU which would have to be more about money and Illinois close to home because it is close to home.

Coach Caldwell has told the fans what she does in recruiting. Coming up with all these scenarios about a player(s) commitment then saying of course we wanted them when in fact once they get to a visit things on both sides could change is CLEARY not part of the coaches recruitment plan.
They won’t sign or even pursue every recruit at the same level once a visit takes place and both sides express their plans/goals as does every school.
I can promise however that no other schools fanbase is wasting as much time discussing certain recruits as a few on VolNation.
And there’s a fact those teams need guards way more than Tennessee did in this recruiting cycle.
Tennessee does not need a guard and nothing the guards in this 2026 class bring is better than the ones in the 2025 class or the returnees.

They have no credible source. Coach Caldwell is as forthcoming as any WBB coach in discussing personnel, recruiting, etc. If Cooper does forego her final year of eligibility then Coach Caldwell knows and will share that information when it’s time with the media.
Yet time after time certain posters here on VolNation use paywall site people on the Internet as their top source.

Bad luck for Kelsi Andrews and SC, sounds like she tore an ACL. They can’t catch a break lately tbh.
