Nope, see last year's defense. We are an interior d lineman, a safety and a corner away from being top 3rd of league defensively.

Couple that with our offense and that's the deciding factor in 95% of our games
 
Someone after the Bama game made a post that’s stuck with me because it makes sense. They said they think Heupel getting fired by Stoops caused him to feel for assistants, which is why he’s so reluctant to fire assistant coaches. I can actually see that and it’s the one thing that makes the most sense, because Heupel rarely fires assistant coaches.
Josh hasn’t had a reason to fire anyone till this year

Heupel has actually never fired an assistant coach. For a coach that is in his 8th year as a head coach, pretty wild. And a detriment. Banks never should have seen 2023 IMO.
