Even before McCoy got hurt in the off-season, I thought we needed CB help. I know we picked up Hood, who has been great for us, but I always felt we needed more depth there. And I begged to take a safety from the portal. It's frustrating when I, a layperson, can look at our roster and see what we need better than the coaches can.

The ETSU game honestly sealed it for me

They were physically overmatched and got 17

I recalled 2012 when we played Georgia State in their first year and while we beat them 51-10, they drove the ball all over us and we relied on their blunders to keep them from scoring

We aren’t quite as bad - but it’s close. This is a dangerously bad defense.

I’m not a fire the coach guy - but Banks has had 4+ years and he cost us in 2022 and may cost us this year

Best QB since Hooker and I think every game from here comes down to the wire because this defense sucks so bad

This is where I am. Banks and Martinez need to be replaced. No way this games should be close. Heupel seemed to be pissed during that halftime interview.

I haven’t been this adamant that a coordinator has to go since Randy Sanders. I’ve been patient, but I’m done.


We’re a playoff team with an average coordinator.

I don't think Heupel fires Banks. Even if defense costs us against Oklahoma, Vandy, and/or Florida. I don't think he likes firing guys. Our only chance is if Banks takes another job.

I've never been a big Martinez guy, but in fairness, he doesn't coach the safeties, and McCoy and Gibson are both out injured.

I mean if it weren’t for a Pick-6, we’d only be up 7 and they’d still be out-gaining us in total yards. So not sure we’re that much better than UK’s at the moment…
