Ole Miss did us no favors

We can only control what we can control. Our games… no one is doing anything for us.. Arky screwed us and OU screwed us… sharing to see the next with MU and VU.

not only beating Oklahoma on the road, eroding OUR strength of schedule, but they will most likely win out the rest of the year.

we are gonna have to pray that we win all our remaining games but also pray the CFP takes 5 teams from the SEC because I don't know how we get in otherwise.
Won’t unless committee selects five.

My son continues to argue saying a 10-2 TN team will make the field. He thinks aTm will drop two or Ole Miss will drop one more.

His big question is can TN team can run the table.

We need to win out and get some help…and never underestimate Kiffin’s ability to do stupid things…a couple of years ago he lost the Egg Bowl by 3 points…yet three times in the game he went for it on 4th down when they were in FG range…but He’s too smart to just kick the FG
One thing about Kiffin. He doesn’t seem to make the same mistakes over and over.

Unlike some of our coaches.

Looking at this team in the offseason you would've had to be insane to think this years team would be a playoff team, we lost alot of production from both sides of the ball plus the Joey situation which worked out great for us but still it was an unknown, defense is pitiful...yeah i know the sacks but if we don't get a sack they are wide open down field, tackling is the worst thing I've ever seen on the field...I predicted 9-3 best case... 8-4 I could still live with before the season. I'm leaning more towards 8-4 best case scenario now...hope I'm wrong and we go 10-2 with atleast a shot🍊🍊🍊🍊

Now if we really think about it, last year's committee really didn't pay much attention to SOS and focused just on schedule (which is why 11-2 SMU made it with no top 25 wins).

If Tennessee wins out (that has to happen and it is possibly), than at 10-2, they still have a case. A 9-3 Tennessee doesn't make it IMO and probably shouldn't.

Sheer comedy again, our defense won’t come close to stopping John Mateer and will give up horrendously bad plays tonight assuming we manage to play well enough to win which is far from a given

I still love there are some on this board who think OU and Mateer are some top caliber team with a Heisman level QB

True but if we lose to Florida again (let's say that is 9-3), it is another throw away garbage season. Might as well be a Dooley/Jones/Pruitt season. Losing to Alabama, Florida, and Georgia again for 100x time.

To me, I would rather see us beat all three of them and NOT make the playoffs than to go 0-3 and somehow sneak into a playoff bid. Tired of always losing to those three teams.

listen I'm right there. In the off-season I thought this was a 3 or 4 loss team BUT back then I knew nothing of how good Joey Aguilar was and I thought the road games against Kentucky and Florida would be possible losses because I didn't know how trash those teams were. now that I know that, this is easily a 10-2 team because our schedule got MUCH MUCH MUCH easier with those two teams being complete hot garbage.

and this team doesn't get beat at home unless your name is Kirby Smart.

10-2 is the new expectation for me and we are favored to win every game so it's also the expectation of Vegas.

I think we are at the exact same record we all thought we’d be regardless of Nico being QB or someone else. Only thing we’ve gained this year is a cheaper commitment to the QB

indeed but again if we lose we deserve no good things. if this team wants to rise above and be considered elite then this situation is a minimum for them to make it through.
OSU doesn't play a ranked team the rest of the year Winning games is what makes you elite now. Not playing a ridiculous sched to make it damn near impossible to make the playoffs.

Judging by our play on the field this year, we are FAR from a playoff team this year. Defense is holding us back this year. It is what it is.

I had us at 8-4 going into the season. We will finish either that or 9-3. I don't have great faith in is going into Gville and winning there even will their program in disarray.

Espn is running the stat that before this win, Kiffin was 0-6 against ranked teams on the road. He seems over rated IMHO. You can bet Miss St won't roll over for them.

South Carolina has held Alabama to seven points going into the fourth quarter with several sacks and quarterback pressures. What great words of wisdom will you have to continue to make excuses for arguably the worst defensive coordinator in the SEC this season?

I’m not the one making blanket guarantees.

“Banks will make Mateer look Heisman contender”. That’s you. Not me.

And it’s an idiotic statement.

Over/under on how many pass yards and rushing yards Mateer will have? 300 combined with a couple of touchdowns? Care to make a friendly wager?
