ACC is only getting one in. Committee is scared sh**less that the big ten and SEC will break off and do their own thing. Which they will if they don’t who they think deserves in. We are the views and the money. Much like the big 12 only got one in even though Iowa state got their second loss in that game. Big 12 and ACC likely only get one in each. It’s all about $$$ and views. Plus they can say Notre dame is ACC and they got two lol

I don't think 5 SEC schools make it. 4 is enough to keep the conference big wigs happy. And they're not going to say too much if we're that 5th team. If there's not a 4th Big 10 team deserving, they'll go somewhere other than a 5th SEC team.

So if two one loss ACC teams face each other in the ACC championship game, that doesn't necessarily make them drop below a 2-loss SEC team. Apparently you haven't followed football enough to realize that a committee still decides who makes it in. You've paid zero attention to the argument that championship game losses shouldn't count as much. And you've ignored that other conferences will have a fit if 5 SEC teams make it in. Depending on how games play out, it could happen, but it's not something the committee will be looking to do. The real problem is you've abandoned all logic because you want to believe 10-2 is a guarantee. It's not.

You do realize that SMU made it into the playoffs after losing to a 3 loss Clemson team in the ACC championship last year....with 2 losses.

Yes SMU made it but the 5th SEC team had 3 losses. A 2 loss even conference game ACC team is not getting in over a 2 loss SEC team.

Sankey made it clear we weren’t going to 9 conference games unless our schedule was taken into account. They did so we agreed to 9 games and now the committee is going to say you know what….2 loss ACC deserves more than Tennessee who only has two losses to Alabama and Georgia….lol. Ok. Funny, because I've seen several posters say 10-2 is a guarantee to make the playoffs. Including you when we had this discussion a few days ago.

I am extremely confident that 10-2 Tennessee riding a five game winning streak would qualify for the playoffs. Not impossible to miss out but pretty darn close. I have little confidence that we win out. It just seems like a really weird thing to worry about as the odds are extremely low. If you look at all the teams that are in the playoff hunt many of them play each other in the coming weeks. It’s just incredibly unlikely and not something that concerns me in the least. Just win each week and all will be good. The winning each week is my concern. Go Vols.
