Touchdowns are going to win this game, not field goals. Chasing points and trying to setup a FG game does nothing. And now OU is basically forced to go for 2 here on out for every touchdown Ole Miss scores. You don’t go for 2 to setup a FG margin in the 3rd quarter. Dumbest thing ever.

If they score again, it’s literally the same situation it was before when they went for 2. So claiming they’re forced to go for 2 now makes no sense

They don’t have to go for 2 if they score a touchdown with a 31-27 score. Now they have to.

Chasing points in the 3rd quarter is a dumb move. Basically playing not to lose with conceding the guaranteed point.

It’s the literal same score as it was earlier. It was a 5 point game, they scored and went for two to make it a 3 point lead.

You’re saying they shouldn’t have done that and that it’s insanely dumb, while arguing they now have to do that?

It’s 31-26 and if OU scores, they are forced to go for 2. They would not be forced to go for 2 in a 31-27 game. There has been zero reason or instance where OU had to go for 2 this game.

Chasing points is just conceding that Venables is playing not to lose.

Hell same can be said for Kiffin as well his 2 point try. Ole Miss kicks a field goal here and he took the PAT, game is over.

Venable’s kicks the PAT, and it’s a 7 point game.

Venable’s went for 2 like it was going to come down a FG to win the game which is moronic.
