What I am trying to say is that refs' biases are bought. Do you think that same official wouldn't call the game in Bama's favor as often as dictated just because he was photographed once in an LSU shirt? The reason he didn't ref any more games is because there was the appearance he would be biased. But these refs are like big time recruits; the are only biased in the direction that pads their wallets the fattest.Basketball official Anthony Jordan made several late calls against us and in favor of LSU when Grant was at UT. An old FB post was revealed where he had posted a picture with someone in an LSU shirt and captioned “Go Tigers.” He’s from Baton Rouge but went to college somewhere else. I don’t think he’s officiated an SEC game since then. Humans have bias and can be subconscious. The fact that the conference didn’t know this was a cause for concern. Billion dollar business, and they don’t check backgrounds and make conflict checks? Problem.
A national name search was done. All votes were considered. Ultimately, it was determined that a commitment to either Bobby Boucher or Longfellow Deeds could not be made in good faith. Special thanks to @CubsFanTN for the comment that most heavily influenced my decision making process. My apologies to anyone who felt their efforts were wasted because they did not get their way. I can assure you that all comments helped, and I appreciate everyone who played a role in the process. Please respect my decision. No interviews.Just noticed this.....View attachment 784518
I guess @AdamSandler ignored all the name suggestions and rejected the pole results from his "name change thread" he had in the Pub. Total waste of errybody's time.
Autry did our 24 Oklahoma and Vandy games.Exactly. SEC wants to try to get us officially eliminated so they don’t have to worry about continuing to screw us. Then they can send their hired guns to other places. When is the last time Autry officiated one of our games? 22 Bama?

You got it, Brother. Sincerely hope all is wellWell fellers, I need us to put down the silliness we engage in daily regarding stupid games involving people that make huge amounts of money, but that don't really give a crap about any of us except to take more and more of our money and time...just for a moment or two...
We had to run down to Knoxville late last night, and have been sitting here ar Ft Sanders waiting on my next grandson to appear. Our baby daughter suddenly had a significant complication called Hellp Syndrome hit out of nowhere and the Docs decided to induce labor a month early. This is my daughters first baby and she has had a pretty rough go since she had also developed Gestational Diabetes a couple of months ago, so of course she is kind of freaking out...I'd appreciate prayers if you can spare them for the health of both. Staff is saying everything is going well, the baby is ok and baby girl is doing better...but it still fries my nerves.
Now back to our regularly scheduled bickering...carry on..
I don’t agree with that. The conference certainly has a monetary interest in how some teams perform. But Lee Hedrick can’t officiate UT games. I’ve never been able to find out his alma mater, but he grew up in Sevierville. We’ve had Jordan from Baton Rouge officiate LSU games, and we’ve had multiple, multiple football officials from Birmingham do Bama and/or UT games (which is a deep rivalry). While that’s not Tuscaloosa, we all know Birmingham and the state have huge Bama loyalties. It involves inherent biases. What I am trying to say is that refs' biases are bought. I wouldn’t have recognized him. Happy for him and his family. A dream come true. Good for him. Go Vols. That's hilarious. One thing that I was thinking about earlier is you really don't see many head baseball coaches with full Grizzly Adams beards. So I'm not surprised they had him do this. It's all about image at the end of the day.
I know. You're right, but what I'm pointing out is that is 100% to avoid the appearance that a ref is biased, because it WILL be discussed. It's just about appearances. Same reason the ACC started televising decisions behind reviews. Look how many that suckered in. "The SEC would NEVER!" So what if they did? You think that would fix the problem? The problem is baked into the system.I don’t agree with that. The conference certainly has a monetary interest in how some teams perform. But Lee Hedrick can’t officiate UT games. Great picture! I am so happy for him and his family. Hopefully this is the continuation and start of something really special. He chopped his beard off! That's hilarious.
