@TN-POSSUM bad news…1st 2 SEC games are using what we would consider “neutral” refs. Chances are high that we get “assigned” one of the Bama boys. Only hope is Autry or the Louisianan guy. I would bet we just so happen to get stuck with Smith or Carter.

I'm watching the OU/MS game and saw it was Matt Loeffler. I haven't seen him officiate a TN game in a while. He's not my favorite but I guess he's "semi-neutral".



*Other than hatred and that we're mathematically still in playoff contention, there's no reason to send one of Birmingham's native sons to Lexington tonight. But SEC gonna SEC

We might be witnessing what the stats suggest. Oklahoma’s defense rankings are largely propped because they played South Carolina, Auburn and Texas. And their offense feels substandard also.

You know I see people talk about this ref and that ref and their history and where they went to school or grew up and all of that, but I don't think any of that matters whatsoever. The refs aren't deciding on their own willy-nilly during a football game to favor one side over the other, all that happens above them. If they were, I imagine they would quickly be fired.

I grew up watching Tennessee lose heartbreaking games to Florida and had to listen to years of their entitled, toxic fans. It's a guilty pleasure keeping up with just how horribly things are going for those folks.

Exactly. SEC wants to try to get us officially eliminated so they don’t have to worry about continuing to screw us. Then they can send their hired guns to other places. When is the last time Autry officiated one of our games? 22 Bama?

I don't think it was as bad as some media said. I believe White has minimal contact with all HC's. I think he hires or retains the coaches he believes in, then gets out of their way and let's them cook.

Micromanagement is never a good thing. I’m not sure I’d want a “Jerry Jones” type AD to work for. I always saw White’s distance as a positive thing. Ironically, it was perceived as negative in TV’s camp.

You keep telling yourself that. DW has done enough for me to trust there’s a lot more to it than supposed rumors. The athletic department is on the up and up in literally every category. So if fans want to all of a sudden turn on him because a coach left for a once in a lifetime opportunity, then I question their ability to reason. Enjoy the kool aide mixed by the Alex Jones of TN Sports, Tony Basilio. The rest of us will continue supporting the teams.
