Think it's a good idea to give the man a chance to run the show ! Hopefully we keep the recruits. Good luck to Josh hope he can get him a good assistant to replace himself. Also very good that there were a number of coaches interested in the job. And this has been different in past searches where we couldn't pay enough to get a good coach. GBO

We hired a search firm

Elander was White’s guy from the very beginning, imo. I think this is a case of optics- showing you completed your due diligence in make the correct hire.

Also, there shouldn’t be any burnt bridges if we interview the same coaches down the rd if TN has an opening.

I don’t recall the names, both there was a coach or two who turned down an Interview during coaching search when we hired Pruitt and Heup.

I think one was Patterson as he turned down our AD since TN didn’t interview him previously.

Elander will be successful & his TN ️ Vols will continue its winning way!

I think under the circumstances it’s the right choice , my hope is Tony’s eye for talent goes for this staff too , he surrounded himself with a great staff and I believe Elander will be great

Elander has already proven he’s far better than Vitello. Elander was undefeated serving as the head coach in 2023 while Vitello was suspended.

I’m so pumped

I saw Elander trending on Twitter yesterdy so I clicked on it to see why and it was post after post from ex-Tennessee baseball players calling for Elander to be head coach. They got our guy trending.

Or Elander absolutely crushed his interview, the search firm properly vetted him and Danny confirmed he was the guy he wanted, all while Frank handles the current players/parents looking for answers and options.
