I do think Heupel calls most of the plays but there are some instances like last week on the goal line I don’t think that was Heupel. Just from the look on Halsleys face after the play went wrong.I’m a believer that Heupel really calls the plays. Golesh may have helped prepare more of the game plan and provided more input.
Just not true. If Elander fails people will just go right back to putting egg on DW’s face for letting TV go to the big leagues. Elander has got win, there is no safety net for making the hire people wanted, there is just a sigh of relief in the present. Come baseball season if Elander starts losing the feelings here and now won’t matter.Elander was always the right choice and the smart one. He provides the best chance to hold together an elite roster and elite recruiting classes. He'll either keep the ball rolling or the program will slowly start to slide. No egg on DW's face if that happens but it certainly would've looked bad if he hired someone else and they let the program slip.
It all goes through Heupel. I don’t think Joey’s reaction had anything to do with him making the call. Heupel would have suggestion something different if he didn’t like it.I do think Heupel calls most of the plays but there are some instances like last week on the goal line I don’t think that was Heupel. Imo its easier for Elander to take over in TV's "shadow" than an outsider. People will have more forgiveness for E during hiccups than someone else.Elander was always the right choice and the smart one. Several folks in and around the program have expressed a name like mentioned here. Let’s see if it has any merit and if it’s loud enough.
Seems like a plug and play option
