Nobody else willing to work for that cheap bloodsucking bas!ard.
Soooooooo when he hired CJH, he was vilified initially until CJH started winning. CTV leaves for "greener?" pastures, and he's vilified yet again. Hires CJE, and is given a little reprieve. Then there's the whole Lady Vols thingy....

I need a program to keep up with "As The World Turns, with Danny White"

So is he a good guy or bad guy now? Help a brotha out.

This is impossible. I was told Danny only cared about his ego and was going to put himself first to prove how smart he is

Danny White saw very early that fighting the fan base on this hire/search was going to be dumb.

Additionally once he said he was having the players vote on a council to be involved, it was a done deal.

What happened to bad Danny?

So much unnecessary gnashing of teeth in here... I’ve got receipts, but I’ll have mercy.
What's odd is Whites claim about him wanting Elander to focus on the interview process and a blink of the eye later, he's named head coach. Not complaining mind you, but it does make me question White's veracity and trustworthiness....or maybe he had a tepid response to his initial calls to the guys "on his list"?

Nothing wrong with interviewing to make sure he's committed and not wanting to leave with Vitello, and see what his vision is as the head guy.

The outcry from players had to play a role. Burke was out front on this quick. Within 30 minutes of Tony’s decision.
Danny doesn’t listen to the noise. Had to interview 3 and let the search firm do their job and dot the i’s and crossed the T’s. He did his job well like he has to run an athletic department in this new age.

I'll give Danny White credit for making the right, most logical decision given the unprecedented nature of this hire. He moved quickly and listened to the people it mattered to.

Same. I’ve eviscerated him the last few days, and I’m just glad he made the right hire. So, kudos to him, regardless of how I feel about how the Vitello situation unfolded. Thankful he listened to the players, alumni, recruits, etc.

Or Elander absolutely crushed his interview, the search firm properly vetted him and Danny confirmed he was the guy he wanted, all while Frank handles the current players/parents looking for answers and options.

Makes complete sense
