'27 TN RB David Georges

We need to land this kid. It’s been a minute since we’ve landed an elite RB coveted by every school in the country.

Brown and Oku were five stars, Hurd too for Butch. An elite RB would explode in Heup’s offense imo.

Junior running back David Gabriel-Georges produced his third 200-yard game of the year, rushing 17 times for 205 yards and two scores.

The five-star prospect racked up 22 carries for 223 yards and four touchdowns in the 35-34 victory over Georgia's Rabun Gap on Aug. 29 and had 25 rushes for 280 yards and three scores in the 38-35 win at McCallie on Oct. 3. He has also sat out multiple games. "We're just trying to be smart with how we use him," Kimrey said. "When he carries the load that he carries sometimes, you get a little dinged up, and we would rather err on the side of caution. We've got along season ahead, and we want to make sure that he's as healthy as can be as the season wears on."

Last night OSU Ryan Day attended the Baylor -Ensworth game to see Georges. That makes at least three top tier head coaches to come to watch him this year. Heuple, Day, and Smartt. Maybe others. Plus Manning and Vitello.

I’m far from a Baylor fan but this youngster is the best high school running back I’ve seen in many years, if not ever.

Would be surprised if UT lands him. He is originally from Africa , parents live in Saskatchewan and the youngster barely speaks English.

Running style is very low to the ground and multiple spins out of tackles. But great speed in open field. Muscular at 210. .

This is “barely speaks English” to you?

Why would you be surprised? We nearly landed Savion Hiter, until his mom got involved. DGGs parents were in knox recently.

We have as good a chance as any. Some even think we lead.

My apologies on the English issue. I based the comments on some info comments by normally reliable ESPN coverage that stated he had an interpreter with him early on at Baylor. Obviously was an error. Or he is Avery fast learner.

Peyton proably could have abig influence here given his son is now a teammate and possibly his Qb next year. Cannot imagine the. NIL etc OSU or UGA would throw at the young man.

I sure hope UT is his choice. Don’t misinterpret that part. Past history with recruiting Baylor athletes to UT is not favorable. After Rusty Kidd in the 60s what other great Baylor athletes in football have chosen UT.? Serious question

This kid may be a Tennessee lean but don't believe it's a lock as some believe or want to believe.

One of the Buckeyes' top-of-the-board 2027 targets is running back David Gabriel Georges, who is from Montreal, Canada, and now attends Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor School. Georges has been to Ohio State multiple times, including for the Buckeyes' spring game as well as for one of the Ohio State one-day camps in June.

"I love it there, and when I went to the camp with my brother and uncle, it was really great," Georges said.

If I was a betting man. I say the guy said same exact words about Tennessee..." I love it there"

Hopefully we get this young man ....

If he is our number one target, which he is. We don’t get outbid. It will come down to relationships. When we want to pay, we pay. Ask David Sanders.

FWIW, I think 247 said he’s from Quebec and his parents speak French and very little English. That’s why UT had a translator when they visited.

Anytime OSU is involved we should be concerned. That said....

This. See also Tristen.

The question should be which Baylor football recruits did we want that haven’t signed with UT.

We got Jacques McClendon comes to mind along with the recent group that are either on campus or committed. Baylor hasn’t had many top flight football recruits like they have of late.

ole miss rb

Chip Healy Vandy Then NFL
LB Happy Dicks Georgia LB.
RB Jimmy Brown -Ga Tech.

All were high school all American type players mid 60 s at Baylor. UT wanted all of them.

Dicks was the subject of one of the most interesting headlines in SEC football history. Ga was playing South Carolina. Dicks was injured and not going to play the game. Noted humorist Lewis Grizzard of the ATL Constitution wrote the most famous label for a column in the history of the the SEC.

Joakim Dotson 2025
Gabriel Osenda 2026
Jamyan Theodore 2026

Seriously?

Those listed on current Baylor roster are current recruits. Not past recruits. Go back though thirty year or more and ID some Baylor recruits who came to UT …. I said in the “past “. Really not interested in debating this but there seems to be a quick trigger here today.

The context was Georges’ likelihood of choosing UT. You said it’s unlikely. As justification for that opinion, you brought up how few Baylor players in the past have chosen UT.

I’m pointing out that UT has 3 Baylor players either on campus or committed. Your counter to that is, “I’m talking about the past.” Who gives a rat’s ass about how many signed in the past? You think Georges cares how many Baylor players went to UT before 2024, but doesn’t care that he’ll have 3 teammates there?

You’re just being obstinate about a negative opinion and reaching for justification with non-dispositive facts, while dismissing dispositive facts.

He’s surrounded by UT influences. He’ll have 3 Baylor teammates at UT. Austin Price and Matt Ray say UT is the team to beat. But yeah, it’s unlikely he’ll go to UT because you don’t think many Baylor players went to UT “in the past.” Makes sense.
