Bama was 33. Bama ranks 52nd in run defense.

First off, its a chatroom for fanatics.
Second, Tennessee has to win a game against a meaningful opponent THIS year if they want to go anywhere. (and I do remember the dark Dooley years, praying for 6 wins. i remember that oh so well)
Third, I'm tired of excuses and stats. Blame is for God and small children. Time to show some color and charge out. Take your hands outa your pockets and step into the streets! :)

Alabama's fanbase was ready to toss their head coach to the wolves after their first loss. They have bounced back. We still have plenty of FB to be played.

And then Alabama made it a 3 score game with less than 16 minutes left in the game. That included a 5 play possession ending in a punt. Hard to plan on scoring 3+ times with a run heavy attack but maybe.

it is more than just "one loss". it is the same thing in the losses on the road in year 5 that it was in year 1. It is the perceived refusal to make a coaching change in areas that are lacking. it is the same penalties every game that are getting us killed. it is the AMOUNT of pre snap penalties that are frustrating. all this in year 5 that should have stopped by year 3, at the latest, are still occurring. While as a fan I can appreciate the dominance at home, DEFEND THIS HOUSE, even then, we still lack discipline....false start vs ga is staring us in the face. While I don't want CJH fired, he does need to take a long look in the mirror and be honest about his coaching staff and the way he game plans during the week in some aspects.

Agree, I had us 10 & 2 & floor 9-3, so nothing has changed. I figured we lose to UGA & Bama on the road and we could have a hiccup vs Florida on dreaded road. We are right where I thought we would be and I really didn't think we'd take UGA into OT. We have to do it 1 game at a time from here on and limit injuries. Since I don't think we are getting McCoy back. Think his agent is keeping his name out there and its working JMO.

Agreed. And a coord that can recruit specific talent is where it starts.

We will never have that as long as HFC blindly accepts status quo. It will be his downfall.

Not even mentioning Martinez cause everyone who knows American football knows he's a Damn joke.

I know how depressing reading the volume of posts by those with irrational discontent is too.

BUT..,, take heart that in reality ALL those posters would only fill the first 3-4 rows of Section A. These few stating and restating their opinions and observations ad Infinitum is what it is. Nothing more, nothing less. They simply like to hear themselves type and relish likes from the like minded.

Sometimes teams don’t have 11 guys at a time sync up within their capabilities consistently enough to get it done. Trying to define if the root cause is a talent, coaching or execution issue is impossible without living with it up close and personal. Logically it is a mix.

What happens is there to see and easily definable, why? Not so much. Pretty easy to see those that feature arrogance over humility.

We were absolutely terrible before Heupel. We are in the mix every year now and doing it the right (morally) way. I don’t understand, so these people want to start a spiral downward for years again. Today’s football will not have dynasties like the past either. An opportunity for playoff every year we be an accomplishment

This staff is AVERAGING 10 wins per year over the last 3 years of NIL...and likely gets a 10th this year as well even if its in a bowlgame. Averaging 10 wins a year. Look up how many programs in the SEC have averaged 10wins per year in the 3 years of NIL era football. UGA and our VOLs and ??? Not bama. Not Ole Miss and definitely not aTm or Texas. WE have despite being on probation and missing scholarships and recruiting visits etc.

This staff is 100% AS GOOD as you're gonna get in FBS right now other than Ohio State and UGA. IF...and its a BIG IF...IF we can average 10 wins per year or even 9wins a year with the new 9game SEC season we will literally make the playoffs 75% of the time. We made the freaking playoffs last year. If Gilberts raggedy butt hit that 42yd FG to beat UGA we would make the playoffs again this year. We probably won't now and finish 9-3 after we lose another game. Thats ALL anyone can expect in the NIL era. To make the playoffs half the time. That makes you an ELITE PROGRAM. Top10 program in the country. These clowns arpund here always wanting to fire coaches that average 10wins a year are retarded. We just sucked for almost 20 years and never sniffed a 10win season. We are VERY LUCKY we finally found a good staff. Act like it
