Our troops are used as pawns and leverage between slimy politicians. They should be paid regardless of the shutdown. If not paid, they should have an option to opt out of their commitment.

What will be interesting is when this is all over what the banks do with the military folks regarding loans many of them have. I'll bet in the end, THEY still get paid with even MORE interest.

They should also have to buy insurance on the exchange, have the taxpayers (employers) vote on their compensation, not be exempt from ANY laws they pass that affect you and me.... etc etc etc etc...
