College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Think brown going play more minutes than a lot people think . Another grant Williams with little better offensive skills coming in first year
I see zero chance we get 25mpg+ 12.6ppg+ 5.9rpg+ this year from Brown, and I would highly recommend anyone thinking we do to lower their expectations for him.

I was thinking more in line with 12. To 15 minutes PT for some games …. Depending on situation course
Well the above numbers were Grant’s freshman year is what I was going off of from your post…I still think 12-15mpg is likely way too high. I’m excited for Brown and think he has a bright future, but barring injury it’s hard to see him stealing minutes from Okpara, Estrella and Carey imo.

I concur with this assessment.
The only way he gets to 5+ mpg is if we are crushing opponents....or....we have injury bug issues.
H
Brown could possibly be every bit as good as Grant, but Brown has a much tougher group in front of him than Grant did! jmo

Kentucky basketball fans wondering where all the 22 million dollars that they supposedly spent on their roster went.

"Exactly. What I’m confused on…. And this is gonna make me catch hell on here… if our roster cost 22 million then where did all the money go to? This don’t look like a 22 million dollar roster. The biggest recruit Pope has ever gotten and the prize of this off season is coming off a major knee surgery and unsure when he is going to play his first game. Oweh is a nice looking peice that makes me think he can dominate his position in 85% of matchups this season…. Who else is dominating their position?

Ik I have to see how it plays out. We might kick *** all year who knows. But just off the eye test I don’t see where we have off the chart better players. I hate to say my opinion on this because it makes it sound like I’m crappin on our players before they play their first game but it’s just my observation."

There's a melt thread over the guy who just committed to A&M on Rupp's Rafters which is pretty much an argument between Kentucky fans who are saying, "A&M can and just did outbid Kentucky for a basketball player," and those who are like, "Just because A&M landed a player we recruited and brought to campus on an official visit, doesn't mean that Kentucky got out-bid. It's just our über-impressive roster scaring recruits off."

I think you’re letting your hate of UK cloud your opinion…they’re ranked ahead of us in every human poll I’ve seen and every analytics ranking that I’ve seen.

Between this Rothstein post, and the below Aaron Torres post, I always find it funny how much the media overreacts to exhibition games. They so easily forget a bad Arkansas team beat the Purdue team that went to the national title in an exhibition. And a bad Indiana team beat a Tennessee team that made the Elite 8.

Yeah, I think they said something about Purdue losing an exhibition game the last three or four seasons. It's completely meaningless.
