Most aren’t Bama grads as they would be exempt from any Bama game. However, you hit it. The line judge? in 2019, who blew the whistle for no reason when we were playing quickly at the goal line, was a Hoover High School grad. I can’t recall if he went to UAB, but his aunt worked in the SEC office. This was all found out. It was also found on FB that his brother posted about being a Bama fan.

We all have biases, and it’s very reasonable to think that a person who graduates from Hoover High is surrounded by Bama fans at the very least. Or, he’s had a rooting interest. You know that officials who work their full time jobs in Birmingham have co-workers or even friends or family who are Bama fans. Do they really want to have offseason conversations about them missing calls that screwed Bama? It’s just natural in the mind to avoid those issues.

In a billion dollar business, it’s inexcusable and typical for the conference to not have a process in place.

Considering the sports media panels are made up mostly of gumps and gatas, this is literally defying the odds. The country loves us..... it's the media and SEC (Birmingham) holding us down.

Maybe this NBA mess makes them tighten everything up but it’s just not coincidental that the two worst officiated games a couple of weeks ago were against TN and Aub. What’s the one thing those schools have in common?

It's interesting how the "insiders" and former players who are going after Danny over TV has caused many of the fans to start turning on Danny also.

What will be interesting to see is how DW handles this coaching search while so many are screaming at him to take Elander. I don't think Danny wants an unproven coach.

He hired Kim. I think if he’s impressed enough by elander he will hire him. And if not he’ll get a different impressive coach.
