Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

ESPN had to add their "spin" to it and try to make Williamson out to be a victim......

Oh no!!! No post season assignment if you "maybe make some controversial calls" and maybe screw some team out of a post season playoff run/bowl game. Boohoo

ESPN, conference commissioners, referees, are all shills for Vegas. GREED!!!!
BWAHAHAHA

Mark Schlabach wrote the article. A known UGA grad and fan.

What. A. JOKE.

- MLB opportunity a major opportunity
- not the best relationship between TV & DW
- TV was bigger than just baseball
- thinks there was a way for this not to happen
- TV wasn’t perfect in the way he did things / handled things but was something Tennessee people had be proud of
- people / players / donors want Elander
- thinks best result would be national search but land on Elander
- if not Elander, people will be upset
- doesn’t know how much TV & DW talked about TV staying bc not in the know there
- hard decision for TV to leave, he was upset
- not like TV is leaving for ARK or FL, he’s going to MLB
- unnamed donor says it didn’t have to happen
- doesn’t think it was fair for anyone to pit LV bball vs baseball
- doesn’t think it was smart for DW to mention it
- rumors are rumors
Theirs your side of the story
Theirs there side of the story
Somewhere in the middle is the butt ugly truth
Like Chris Low said, sad it happened, sad it didn’t have to happen.

There’s no way they said he can’t at least say thank you. Even fired coaches who have axes to grind are typically allowed to say thank you. He’s making the choice to not do one, at least not yet, and that’s pretty ******.
I don’t know anything to be true or false. I’m guessing neither do you. Just speculating.

I too wish we could hear him address the fans and give thanks.

I know we all have the seasonal jokes about coal miners in Kentucky, but I'm curious from anyone up there just how much that industry has impacted the health of folks. For a state less poor than quite a few others in the region, I find this pretty shocking and sad.

It’s not the coal. They just meth around too much.

I’m definitely speculating. I have 0 ins on the baseball side of things. I’m just going based on previous firings/leavings at other programs. The coach almost always says something in the generic “thank you, it’s been great, you fans are awesome, blah blah blah” post. So it’s pretty insulting that we’re 24 hours removed and we got nothing.

I can’t remember the exact article several years ago, but I’m almost positive I read that basically the entire AL state system/gov was built to give Bama every advantage possible. I’m thinking it was back when Bear’s son shut down UAB football. Or maybe I’m misremembering?
Sounds legit. At this point, I will believe the gumps will do anything and everything to win. They are the cheatingest buncha of inbred, low lifes, ever. The devil himself, is embarrassed by their lowdown evil ways.

I like a good conspiracy theory but it’s not a hard stretch from league office in Birmingham, most head refs from Birmingham or played for Bama, Alabama controls SEC and rivals from the stripes.
