Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

I want both! I don't want to be nail biting in the 4th after we were up by 2 scores in the 3rd.
We need to win...which we are doing. But, we also need to win in a way that regulates your anxiety. I think I understand. Don't think that is fair or even part of the job description. His W/L record is superb when leading at the half. That should be enough regardless of how we get there.

2. Use more play action and RPO
google ai says:
he used play action on 71% of passing downs in 2024.
in 2021 his rpo rate was 104th nationally. That is very low. I wonder what it is recently? JA seems to be doing a good job of that (but the man needs to slide)

how much more should he be doing above 71% PaP?

It's his 5th season and he's still making the same mistakes which are costing us games we should have won. This isn't a case of instant gratification, we should expect to be in the top 10 every season and be able to compete with anyone. Take a look at Tony V, he took a worse dumpster fire of a program and in his 4th season made the world series (3rd season cancelled). It's not expecting too much to The Hype to have us at least in the SECCG in year 5 or the CFP semis?

I'll say it again, I think The Hype is a good coach but unless he makes some staff and philosophy changes his ceiling will always be 9-3/10-2 and an early exit from the playoffs.
yes it is. at least while there is noticeable improvement. yall are stuck on the Saban dynasty mindset, that is not what college football has ever been. we are returning to normal. championship years are special, even conference ones, not something you can realistically expect.

again the list of coaches who would meet your criteria is EXTREMELY short. besides the three names already listed, who technically don't meet your requirements, there are maybe another 5 or 6 others who meet the conference title criteria. and only 1 of those meet your CFP requirement. and again they inherited far more than Heupel.

Its laughable to compare college to NFL football, but you want to completely jump sports? And again to a coach who is the best coach we ever had? Your expectations are literally "Be the best we have ever had, or you can't do anything worthwhile".

like I said immediate gratification seeking millennials. Be the best ever by year 5 or we should replace you.
