Can’t believe you kept going back and forth. You’re not going to change anyone’s opinions even if you hit them with facts. Truth is likely in the middle between Tony and DW. I’ll get the scoop soon. Tony is very close with my neighbor and I’ve been fortunate to hang with him a few times because of it.

If your doing your job you don't generally hear from the boss as often as those who are screwing up. In the real world people don't have to be best buds to get the job done, in my time I have worked for very few bosses that I would care to hang out with. People are making too much of this and it probably as simple as TV grabbing the brass ring.

Way different in college athletics than corporate America. You think egos in corporate America are unbearable? These coaches and ADs are on another level. Always want more and demand more. ADs do typically check in more as their donations rely on it. It’s not like a CEO or VP and other employees.

Bruce Pearl got himself fired and a show cause from the NCAA for repeated violations.

Tony V did something no one before has done, won a Natty here and then went straight to MLB. They aren't the same situation at all, not even close.

Fans that wanna ride Tony V until they D-I-E I have absolute zero annoyance with/towards. Hell I'll be one of them most likely unless somehow the next baseball HC wins a Natty, he'll always be in Tony's park. But Pearl as a man and a coach cannot come close to Rick Barnes at TN and it's been that way for awhile.

for the first time, I’m absolutely ashamed to be part of this fanbase. The loud portion of fans wanting to run out the best AD we’ve had in forever is downright embarrassing.

AD won that natty for sure.winning brings revenue without winning there is no Danny dollars..you’ve got it flipped.im alarmed at how many people think AD’s can’t be replaced “good AD’s” 10 years ago in our horrific slump I’d say absolutely keep Danny but look at where we are today. it’s the same argument everyone in here has used but flipped..good AD’s will actually come here now..we are on fire as a program from a athletics and academic standpoint..with Randy Boyd and plowman eyeing Danny I have full confidence in Boyd and plowman to ensure this university continues to hire winners just don’t lose them over dumb s*** is my point..do you think they’ll keep Danny if we start to flop knowing he just let a national title winning coach walk?…you can’t justify that whatsoever in the same year a new stadium is being built and ticket prices are higher than they’ve ever been..believe it or not Danny has a lot of pressure we just don’t see it yet.

Definitely crossed my mind as well..maybe he just wanted to see if he could do it. winning a title here in baseball is equivalent to climbing Mount Everest with how bad our baseball program was but he got the job done.

He's actually an alum of Missouri. I realize that Arkansas is a better gig than Missouri and he appeared to have a strong connection with that program but his connection to Arkansas was only 4 years there as an assistant.

It’s the way of college sports. Everything is great and everyone loves you while you do well but once you make a mistake you can see how quick things can change. Tony was loved by all and he won. You can’t have problems with your favorite coach. VFLs loved him, fans loved him, donors loved him. If those people know you are the reason he left, they will turn and that’s your money makers. If DW was a big reason for him leaving, that cannot come out for his sake honestly because I think he is a great AD. But you can’t piss off your money makers and people who support this university.

If I heard right, college baseball rosters have to be set by December 1. So, do you let CFA set the roster (he knows all the players) or hire a new head coach (who doesn’t know the players) and let him set the roster.

If it isn't Elander I worry that the baseball team may have a massive loss of players. I don't see it going well because of the talent that could possibly leave. DW should rethink the amount of money allocated to the baseball team because we may need it to keep everyone happy.
