lol okLet's go over the evidence that says otherwise.
1. Chris Lowe, hardly a media hack looking for clicks reported today on a Nashville radio station that Tony and DW hadn't spoken in months and he assigned an associate AD to negotiate with TV not even meeting with him personally.
2. Chris Burk and Kendal Rogers, again hardly people looking for clicks, discussed on their show that TV didn't leave to satisfy some desire to coach in the MLB. Both agreed that there is more to this.
3. TV almost took the A&M job last year.
4. When revenue sharing was announced, they took money away from baseball to give to women's basketball.
5. He went for basically less money when considering cost of living and taxes.
6. He abandoned the #1 recruiting class all for that.
Now you can chose to believe that this was all a big nothing burger and unicorn poop and rainbows but I can't make that leap.
If you prefer to treat rumors as more valid than the few objectively factual things we know, go ahead.
1. This is not nearly as weird as you think. In large, multi layered organizations having limited face time with your boss - a top executive - is normal. Particularly if the boss believes you to be competent and not needing excess supervision.
2. While not leaches, they spoke in vagaries and do not have near the access you think they do. They are also absolutely trying to drive clicks.
3. Yeah, and? He didn’t leave then. It could speak just as much to him not really being a VFL as it could to any personnel issues.
4. This is 100% an unfounded rumor. That many of you treat this as a fact to work backwards from for supporting your arguments is silly.
5. Yes, and? He moved up to the MLB. If that was his goal - which we have just as much information to support that as the rumors - taking a pay cut might be something he had to do.
6. See above response.
