My only point here VFB, is that I think the waters were troubled prior to the Giants coming calling. I think the allure of the show coupled with CTV not "believing" he was getting a fair shake lead to this decision. I'm not sure that any effort put forth this week was going to change his mind. I believe that it was already made up pending the Giants meeting his demands. I don't believe it had anything to do with his personal paycheck either.

I get your point. I just don’t think it’s any different than any other sport. Even football. They all want more. There’s a finite amount of “more”.

Edit: to be more clear, yes he was always begging for more. No, it wasn’t a source of animosity between CTV and DW imo

I do not disagree at all there. I do believe that the new unlimited scholarships needs to be recognized though and I dont think we are there yet. I also agree that the be all school isn't really possible if it ever was.

I mean, we won a natty in baseball. We were a playoff team in football last year. Fringe this year so far in what’s supposed to be a down year. SEC champs in men’s basketball. Back to back elite eights. Women’s basketball is rising. Women’s softball is always a contender.

The people mad at CTV about the timing (not the tsio part just the In October in general) are the ones that really stand out. Like he has a say in when MLB teams do their hiring
