Assuming this is accurate, I am not sure how much revenue "sharing" is fair when the BaseVols lose $9Million a year. Not counting the $100M+ reno to the ballpark. Thats kinda like somebody living free in Sec8 housing and griping because they dont have a free 3 car garage too...
Well, that shows us funding a program that lost 7 million more than a program than lost 4 million, so I think it is fair. 🤷‍♂️

It’s been my routine and practice for 42 years now to travel to at least 2 road games a year which normally turns into 3 with a playoff, bowl or neutral site game included and in the Heuple era of TN football we are 3 - 9 in games which I have attended on the road. That is no better than my Dooley and Pruitt eras and worse than Jones. This shat is getting old. The time and money involved in road travel games these days is pretty extensive and I’m getting pretty frustrated at getting our ass kicked after driving or flying across the country. Hype isn’t a bad coach by any means, but he ain’t the guy to win anything of significance either. I’ve known that from day one, but getting reminded of it on a regular basis sucks! He ain’t the guy, he’s the guy before the guy if you make the right hire next time. He’s steadied and elevated the program to a level better than he inherited it, but it’s apparent that in year 5 that he’s hit his ceiling. I’ve thought about this the whole drive back from Tuscaloosa and every day since. No way we can him, but if it’s truly championships we’re striving for we should. Okay ... rant over.

I'm 1 - 0 on road games attended. Maybe you should choose better road games, Joey. You really went to Tusca with full expectations we would win? We were an 8 or 9 point dog according to Vegas.

4 full seasons as head coach. We were at the lowest of lows. Two top 10 finishes and a playoff birth. Youngest roster in the sec this year. QB who had been on campus a month before the season started. Yall are dumb

I’ve thought of that angle of the selection of games I’ve attended and that does have a bit of merit, but I want to see good quality games and opponents and rivalries, but even then if I had went to Columbia Missouri I’d have seen us get run out of the stadium for Pete’s sake ... Missouri for crying out loud or Fayetteville Arkansas last year, I was in attendance when a worse than shatty South Carolina team took us behind the woodshed. Yes, I fully believed we could and should have had every opportunity to have beaten Bama. I never once traveled to a road game in the Fulmer era that I didn’t think we could win. Why attend any game at all if you truly believe you have no shot at all of winning. Name one team in the Hype era besides Ohio State that was was just truly far and away better than us that kicked our ass? On paper and talent wise we should stack up with most teams and have a true chance to win if we’re coached well and play well. Losing to piss poor teams like UF, Arky and South Carolina have left a bad taste in my mouth. Hype just doesn’t cut it for Championship level, especially on the road. Just my take on it. I ain’t a hater, but I ain’t Mr optimistic with him either.

I agree, The Hype is a good coach but he’s not a Natty winner.

Championship coaches get better and better and their teams get better, call it however you like, but he’s in year 5 and he hasn’t and that’s a fact. And his game management and clock management sucks nuts all too frequently. Maybe I’m too greedy, but I’d like championships and maybe beating a rival on the road once in a blue moon.

Is Kirby Smart's team better this year than the two years they won the natty? What about his team last year? Why is he regressing?

I’m 38-4-1 in Neyland.

The tie.
1980 Ga bulldogs.
I am 2-1 on the road excluding games at Neyland West (candy)
83 Meadowlands at Rutgers 7-0 W (Alan Cockrell and Johnny Jones)
85 Sugar vs Miami 35-7 W
94 at UCLA 23-25 L (Peytons 1st game)
All 3 coasts

Found this interesting

Regarding performance specifically in SEC road games against Top 25 teams, Tennessee holds a 3-6 record under Heupel. While this road record might seem modest, it is noted that only Georgia's Kirby Smart has more SEC road wins against Top 25 teams in recent years, posting a 4-2 record since 2021
