We up the recruiting budget to compete with the big boys, or we don’t consistently compete with the big boys. That simple. Doesnt matter who the coach is if you don’t have the players.

I normally don’t do this, only on rare occasions and I don’t claim to be an insider, but I talk to a lot of people.
And I can tell you with 100% certainty, that several players, some prominent, have already said “if Josh is their next coach, they’ll stay in Knoxville, because they love Knoxville. If Tennessee brings in someone else, the portal is definitely an option”
Tennessee better not F this up and they better stop the bleeding quickly and announce Josh Elander as the next coach, tomorrow!
And they better find a way to keep Frank Anderson from riding off into the sunset and staying on to ease the transition.
