The Dallas Cowboys football circus thread

I know the Raiders say they are not trading Crosby and the Bengals say they aren't trading Hendrickson...but the Cowboys should offer Diggs, Mazi, and GB's 1st rounder for either of them. Both are legit DE and not just edge rushers.

If it wasn’t the original plan it’s the ONLY remaining one. Two players who with Lamb back make Cowboys legit.
Read where we may go after Maxx Crosby or another DE... Also trying to get some back end help. Possibly Alonte Taylor from the Saints on a 1/2 year Rental...

Will they still be legit if Denver whips them today?
Denver is “ legit”. I took a lot of heat on Bears boards when I advocated trading down for either Drake Maye or Bo Nix. All Payton ever needed was this type of QB after Brees. We see the product. No shame imo getting spakunked at Denver. Dallas is still legit in that division.

There was word out there today that Jerry Jones has already completed a trade that will be announced tomorrow. Hopefully they're trading away a first round pick for a defensive pass rusher. With the Cowboys' current record and their remaining schedule, that will likely be a Top 10 pick in the 2026 draft.

Dallas needs to keep the draft picks they have and not be trading any away.
They gave players that can go and get more picks, but with the sorry state of the team, trading picks for players this year is just stupid.
Oh wait, Jerry.....

I don't think Jerry thinks Dallas should ever "rebuild". In his head I think he sees Dallas being a playoff team every year and that's how he manages them.

Obviously that doesn't happen, but that's how he views the Cowboys. I'm not gonna fret over a 7th round pick, but I doubt this moves the needle much. At least Wilson's contract gives us options. They can cut him next year for no cap hit, or keep him on contract through 2027.
