Tony Vitello to SF Giants (Confirmed)

Nobody can blame the man. Its the majors
Majors suck, the best players on the best teams win, plain and simple! You could literally have a computer make decision in game in the majors and win, coaching there matters very little. So he left actual coaching to be someone to sit on a bench and hope his players play good enough to win and not get fired! Also just signed himself up for 162 games a year not even counting spring training. It’s a stupid decision and his ego is getting the best of him. In the end he will fail and San Fran will look like idiots for the hiring. He came here as never being a head coach, we gave him the resources along with his recruiting to make it to the top levels. If our next hire is a good recruiting they will keep rolling while Tony suffers and fails in San Fran. This baseball team LOST 2.3 million last year and are on par to do the same this year! Not many programs in the country that will pony the money up he was getting here so when he goes back to college, he better hope Arkansas or LSU are open because anywhere else most likely won’t provide same resources to lose that much money.

Good luck to him! It’s not sour grapes either, because I don’t really care much about boring baseball, but this decision is dumb on so many levels!

This sucks but please don’t go full Kiffin meltdown on this one. A lot of eyes on the program right now. Promote Elander and let’s roll.
TV has equal power in this decision, I'm not going to absolve his leaving in October just because he didn't get sprinkles on his mega-sundae.

Anybody going to war with the AD over this is going to hurt us in all sports, not just baseball. White would be an AD upgrade for 95% of other schools, and their fanbases will (rightfully) call us idiots for rioting again.

Some really lucky college team will get a really good coach in about three years. That is about the time limit for Tony and the Giants to part ways. The only way it will be different if the Giants start shelling out more than 47 percent of their profits for players. The Dodgers shell out 73 percent and several other teams are over 60. Good luck to him and let's not lose hope until we get the full picture of the future situation.

he left in October because that's when MLB positions become available.
