Well I think it is good that TN has presented a "proposal to address his [Tony's] concerns" and communications are ongoing. I am sure that he certainly would want everything put in writing so that his concerns are indeed addressed, and more importantly remedied! As I suspected, his attorneys are reviewing things. There’s a proposal to address his concerns, and they’re still talking. On the SF side, not sure whether their offer is papered in an LOA either. Everyone said this would be done yesterday one way or another. TV doesn’t want the team in limbo and has said that. He isn’t holding things up. I can’t see it going much longer without some news.
For anyone who asked for clarification, except Nighthawk, who deserves only my scorn— UT/TV met over the weekend. His concerns were known prior to SF offer, but were not addressed. Sunday night, they tried to get to an offer together to address his concerns. As of Sunday night, he also didn’t have an offer letter from SF. Today my friend texted me, “It’s not TV holding this up now. He wants it resolved. Attorney reviewing docs. Does not want this to go on unresolved and affect players/recruiting/program.” I haven’t gotten further information after I replied with more questions.Surely if he’s waited this long to have his attorney’s review our proposal, it means his preference would be to stay. I guess I am just trying to latch onto any hope we can get.
As we say in sales, there is always still a chance as long as he is still picking up the phone.Well I think it is good that TN has presented a "proposal to address his [Tony's] concerns" and communications are ongoing. Can't let a generational coach leave your program..........

Could it have really been Buster Posey helping a buddy out to try and get more resources for his own program? For anyone who asked for clarification, except Nighthawk, who deserves only my scorn— UT/TV met over the weekend. We have all brought up his salary and the stadium renovations as proof the AD is wanting to have a successful baseball program, but I could see TV turning those two back on to DW in negotiations stating "you are willing to put this much money into those, but not getting top tier players?". Thank you for the updates that show this wasn't some war between TV and DW. Our online fans are a bunch of dumbasses for parroting that stupid narrative from Basilio. To be clear, money gets players. His biggest concern revolves around that. Mechanically he wants to be on equal footing with the other top programs. This has nothing to do with an ax he wants to grind with women’s basketball. The net effect of what Arky did got them more NIL. How we get on equal footing isn’t his concern. He just doesn’t want to play poker with no chip.
There’s ambiguity to me too, but the fact that we remain engaged has to be seen as a positive. SF is a big professional organization. They definitely aren’t going to wait at the alter much longer.Hmm. Interesting. So “attorney reviewing docs” could mean many things. Could mean they are reviewing UT and he’s staying, but could also mean the attorney’s are reviewing the details of the SF contract. If it was made. I think your message reads more like the former and that TV wants to stay, but there is just enough ambiguity in this situation still that it’s not clear how it will shake out.
Highly successful people often have egos. That’s true of DW and TV. They also both understand that they can’t succeed without taking care of each other’s needs. We have all brought up his salary and the stadium renovations as proof the AD is wanting to have a successful baseball program, but I could see TV turning those two back on to DW in negotiations stating "you are willing to put this much money into those, but not getting top tier players?". Wait. So as of Sunday there was nothing from SF and then today you said you weren’t sure if there was anything from SF either. So that makes me wonder: is there even anything from SF’s side? Could all of this smokescreen to improve the necessary resources for the program? Probably too conspiratorial, but it does make one wonderFor anyone who asked for clarification, except Nighthawk, who deserves only my scorn— UT/TV met over the weekend. I'm surprised they haven't walked away already. It got leaked, and now had kind of turned into a 5-day ongoing circus. There’s ambiguity to me too, but the fact that we remain engaged has to be seen as a positive. Any I wrong in taking what you said as in Tony has made the decision to leave but the contract has to be ironed out? If the attorney(s) are reviewing documents sounds as though the documents are related to SF job not here.
I like your point better than my thoughts haha. If I was in his shoes I would take the SF job as long as I felt I was given the resources to succeed. As a TN fan I hope he doesn’t but it’s an opportunity that probably won’t come again with an organization like SF.Possibly. But you could also view the comment about Tony not wanting this to impact recruiting and the program much longer as him deciding to stay and needing a resolution because it’s impacting his ability to do his job.
I don’t know, man, I almost read it like SF never really offered anything official. He says in the post that we offered some things but SF never did as of Sunday. And that he didn’t know if it’s a LOA on paper or what from SF.Any I wrong in taking what you said as in Tony has made the decision to leave but the contract has to be ironed out?
