DK was really bad in summer league, and also looked terrible in the preseason games. His only value in the NBA is shooting, and he's been ice cold for a long time. They would trade him again if they could, but there is no market for him right now. They force fed him minutes all preseason and summer to give him a chance to look good and trade him for something, but he really sucked. He has no confidence in his game right now.

This. He has been shockingly bad of late. At some point we just gotta stop making excuses for him.

I wish they would trade Dalton to somebody that would give him an opportunity. He didn’t even play last night while Gabe Vincent played 29 minutes and scored 3 points on 1-4 shooting. Cmon Lakers
Has ZERO trade value at the moment... Lakers aren't going to give DK away.

DK's best hope is that a team with shooting needs picks him up at the trade deadline, because he's going nowhere with a Lakers team that lives and dies with the ball-centric Luka, Reaves, and James running P&R.

His confidence has to be sagging right now, but if DK can find himself into a Kyle Korver type of role with a team that runs more of a motion offense, he has a good chance of having a long career.
