The 2025-2026 NBA Season Thread (Where 95 Vol Alum shows Zion Williamson how KETO works)

What would you like it to say? I can change it no problem.. actually I don't know how to change the title..

Wasn't meant to be taken serious. Somebody (95?) made fun of Zion in the season thread title a few years back, so given the "fit Luka" aspect of this thread, I thought I'd make a call back.

Sheppard sucks

I didn't watch the whole game, but I thought he was competent when I watched. The D definitely needs some work, but I also saw him creating value on that end on some plays, like when he ripped SGA.

The biggest Houston question coming into this game was, can RS replace FVV's ball-handling? He got thrown into the gauntlet with OKC being the best ball-harrassing team that has maybe ever existed, and he had 9 points, 4 assists, and only 2 turnovers in 27 minutes. I would like to see one more of those 3's fall, but the performance was fine.

They don't need him to score much or be a big-time playmaker. They just need a guy who has shooting gravity and can bring the ball up so Amen and Sengun can start out off-ball.

Houston seemed to have a “who is the guy in crunch time” challenge.

For sure, and understandable. I figure it's going to be KD and Sengun figuring things out until Amen comes along more. If they want to be in title contention, Amen's going to have make some progress in that regard.

I doubt Reed's a guy they even want on the floor in crunch time this year, unless he's reliably shooting 45% from 3p.

Yeah, he just couldn't handle the pressure when OKC turned it up and he did a lot of dribbling on several possessions. I thought they looked best when Reed played off ball and spotted up for the 3 and Amen was handling point.

They definitely need one more bigger ballhandler. Even when DFS comes back and they go with Amen/Reed as the primary ball handlers with Sengun in the halfcourt, they need another creator.
