The Atlanta Braves

Not even remotely close to the same situation.

Levis didn't start till midway through the season, he wasn't thrown to the wolves right away. He also had King Henry to hand the ball off to and D-Hop was still a solid WR. And lastly and more importantly, he actually head a competent HC. Vrabel had his warts, but he was not a terrible coach.

Last season under Callahan, with a full season in the NFL under his belt, Levis played arguably worse than Cam is now as a rookie with less talent. It's hard to explain with words just how terrible of a HC Brian Callahan is.

The Giants did their interview, offered the job, and are on day 4 of waiting on a decision.

Meanwhile, nobody in the Atlanta media has any clue what stage we are on hiring a manager.
It also shows how relatively unimportant the job is. Especially in the analytics age (rightly or wrongly). Lots of these FOs want an algorithm in the dugout. Just another reason why TV shouldn't take this job

Well designed computer software could do 96% of a mlb manager’s in game duties
