Ole Miss Coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin SEC Media Day 2025

I remember her early press responses after losing her first several years by 60+ and respected her for her remarks and stories. Now, I fully recommend you watch her as a professional woman in her eighth year. She recognizes the SEC and the ups and downs while appreciating her position with humility. and you might smile about her choice of attire.

Baylor is such a tacky program under their current coach. Their roster looks shady AF. Hired Johnnie to pick up a couple Auburn transfers.

I’ll be they’re better defensively and inside with Johnnie in staff but will have a worse record than last season.

Won’t be shocked if Baylor ends up firing Collen and makes Johnnie head coach next season. Nikki can’t recruit properly.

Speaking of recruiting (and don’t bite my head off yall) did anyone else see the thing that Danny White took money from Tony V to give to Kim for recruits ? I’m trying to do some more digging but i was 😮 with the timing and everything I was curious if this had any merit.

If he did regardless of what a group of the UT fan base believes that would make perfect sense. I don’t think he took the money, I believe that money was always going to be allocated to WBB. It is what it is.

Well if it was promised or ear marked for Baseball then moved it i could see why it rubbed people the wrong way. But again it is what it is. Wishing Tony V the best of luck whatever he decides he brought UT it’s only natty in a long while. The NIL game has definitely upped and i’m glad Kim is able to benefit from it. Love to see the LVs landing top talent.

More likely Vitello had already told them he was being courted by the MLB so Danny reappropriated the funding expecting a small rebuild with baseball. Why throw a bunch of money at recruits if you know you’re going to need to hire a new coach?

As opposed to Vitello looking for another job because they gave recruiting money away.

Not NIL is was the percentage of the revenue sharing. Lady VOLS got more than most schools in the SEC. If you don't think money has a large play in recutting then you need to wake up. Tony's basevols are in the same stratosphere as bama and Ohio State football when it comes to putting players in the league. IT still difficult to recruit if you're not in the ballpark on the money. Tony has 9-10 drafted ever year . NIL is a big supplement to the profit sharing. Kim's success putting players in the league has a few years to show just how good she is. And I think that will happen but it takes time.

Happy Tuesday, LV fans. I hope you all had a great summer and are enjoying your autumn so far. Just figured I’d stop by and say hello, given that it’s almost time for WBB season and I’m very excited.

I always take a step back in the off-season and I have a lot of catching up to do about where everyone is looking for the season so far!

I absolutely think NIL has a large part to play in recruiting and landing high level recruits. I think this is the most money we’ve poured into this program and it is showing with landing recruits.

If it is true they took some money it seemed to have no effect as he has the number one recruiting class in the country. Sometimes I believe people just can't accept someone leaving and have to add a reason that is controversial. I hope Tony addresses it one way or another as the truth needs to be known whatever it may be.

These high school kids CTV recruited probably doesn't sniff the dirt on the infield... These kids are so highly rated they will go directly into the draft. We need experience out of the portal.. that is where the money is needed..

Saying that though. With Parker working for Adidas everyone should've known more NIL money would be pumped into Lady Vols basketball..

There actually no. 3 but with less commitments. But any number of these will never make it to campus if the money is not comparable to what there offered in the draft. It's harder to get top notch baseball players to campus because of the large draft. But college is a lot more comfortable than playing in the minors and playing for the best college coach ever.

Biggest question for me is how much longer does Geno have before Shea Ralph takes over ??
Would you leave with Sarah Strong having three more years. Blanca having four years. The big O having four years starting next year. Most of his roster is young. Can’t see him leaving anytime in the foreseeable future. I have a feeling that it will not be Shea Ralph, but it will be Karla Berube.

Yeah, most places were reporting she would come to UConn before the announcement. I'm more curious to see if they pick up anyone else.

Vukosa reminds me a lot of Stef Dolson!
But Faster and a better shooter coming into Uconn than Dolson was. Dolson as a freshman was slow, out of shape and played in the post. They developed her as a passer and a screener and then a shooter as she developed through the program.

Yep, agreed with this. I remember Geno saying that people were wondering why he recruited Dolson out of HS and he said it was because of her on-court attitude. He knew everything else could be developed.

Considering her level right now, it will be interesting to see how much better Vukosa can get!

I don't see him leaving within next 10 to 15 years. I see him as a Bobby Bowden- Joe Paterno (Joe Pa might not best example to use) type that will coach until health issues or unforseen circumstances forces him to retire. UConn will always get top recruits and make the Final Four, so they will never be a "right" time to leave presumptive championships on the table.
