age is no excuse for losing, you can portal talent and older players.
This should not have to be explained. We have been saying this team is young for 4 years. Do you not understand "accountability"?
Well, we have somehow managed to accumulate a 35-11 record(18-10 SEC), an Orange Bowl win, a Citrus Bowl win and a playoff appearance since the end of the 2021 season.

Not a rebuilding year.

We lost to two teams that are more talented than we are.
- should have beaten UGA
- had chances against Bama

That’s it. The program is still getting better.

With our NIL budget and our last 3 years, we should be reloading, not rebuilding in Y5....

One issue is we have yet to develop high end HS OL recruits. That group requires continuity and having to pay (overpay) to fill that lack of development means we have holes elsewhere.
We haven't developed any corners. Nor safeties. One wideout who actually produced meaningful stats against our rivals (Hyatt). Linebacker is a question mark as well. We are lacking overall big-time talent. Period. The portal is keeping us in the game, but we haven't dominated that either.

You don't rebuild in year 5. At least competent football programs aren't rebuilding in year 5. good grief.
You do in the NIL era. Recruiting just doesn't mean as much anymore. You can recruit 5 star players but they are potentially going to either flip or leave for more money. Nico did both.

I completely agree. However... it works BOTH ways. you can turn around a roster in a single cycle. I think coaches and staffs HAVE TO have a plan to flip the roster every year now. GM's are an absolute NECESSITY. No ifs and or buts, IMO. There are examples of programs reaching another level. Indiana, Vandy, Texas Tech, etc. But the UGA's, Bama's, OSU's arent having problems reloading

You're not wrong. however, in the NIL era, you also have to have the money to go to the portal and buy.......yes but.......the standouts. We are not deep enough in the pockets.
