2027 Lady Vols Recruiting

I had to look up that photo to confirm that it was really her, and not her half-brother, Marty McKoch!

(I may be wrongly interpreting the exact familial connection. IIRC, he often referred to her as his half-sister
...and sometimes his half-brother.)
PEDs turned me off of professional sports for years.

I think the 400/400H double is most likely. Her only real rival in the 400H, Femke Bol of the Netherlands, is moving up to the 800. One obvious reason is that she knows it is unlikely she will ever beat Sydney in a major competition (barring an injury or some other bizarre occurrence.

The 400 is an interesting event because it can be run by sprinters who are moving up a distance or 800 meter runners who are moving down. I always felt like Bol was actually more of an 800 type who had found success in the 400H. So her moving up is probably playing to her natural proclivitie.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone seems more like a pure sprinter who has moved up.

The only issue with the 400 flat and 400 hurdles double in the past is the scheduling. The prelims/semis/finals schedule of both have prevented Sydney from attempting it a couple of times, but surely they will find a way to schedule it where where there is enough time to rest for her to have a shot at both in 2028.

They did it with Michael Johnson for the 200/400 double so i would imagine they’d could do it for Syd as she has become one of (if not the most) recognizable names in Track and Field especially after her showing at Worlds

You can't love your wife/ husband and love your girlfriend/ boyfriend also. You have to choose.🤣🤣
Yep that's just like DWs problems trying to make all sports teams at UT top of the list. Women's basketball definitely needed a boost and DW gave them a big boost. I think money may scale back somewhat after the ball gets to the top . I love baseball and really support the lady's. My family is full of really good women's basketball players. Many have gone to all levels of college including Lady VOLS. Just want both to be outstanding. It will be one of the biggest disappointments in UT history we we don't keep Tony or at least put our best foot forward.
