For as much love as TV has shown Pat summit and been a supporter of every sport, it would seem really “off” for him to split over “not getting his fair share”. I know it’s his job to fight for the betterment of his program, but his leaving does more damage to the program than the good of a few hundred thousand more rev share as is being rumored. And I agree, after the stadium reno, it’s hard to imagine him throwing this future away. But maybe that’s why he believes he has the leverage to push. I believe compromise will win out and Tony will settle for whatever DW can scrounge up.So Tony is pissed off because of Revenue sharing because he didn't get a big enough slice ? WBB has a lot of support and it is one of the faces of the University. Pat built that. I love Tony, something is off here though imo. I mean it comes down to numbers and I have no idea what those are but the girls deserve to be paid just like all the other athletes. I don't think Tony wants to hold other programs hostage but he is the 2nd highest paid coach in College Baseball, got a 100m dollar stadium renovation to his vision..... He has put in the work to build Baseball here and is a fan favorite, with all that said it is still business which is what DW is here to negotiate and over see ALL Athletics. He has to run every program from a financial standpoint and upper level decision making. I guess we will see how it turns out
To all the Danny defenders and people calling him the best AD please read this tweet.
It’s really hard to imagine hating DW after how well he has positioned our university’s sports programs, even if it means the cost to us going higher.

*I've not liked Danny for a while now. I think he's gotten too greedy. I don't like how he's told lifelong fans (the locals) to pony up or get out. It's not right... I don't care what anyone says about "supply and demand" or "look at the waiting list". It's just not the right way to treat people.
**If any of this is true, then I'd believe Tony before I would Danny.

I'm a season ticket holder and I certainly want TV to remain. I will say that he is on record as saying don't come to TN with your hand out looking for money if you're in the portal. I took that to mean he wanted people who loved the competition. Maybe a shortage of funds played into that as well.CTV specifically referred to the “missing pieces” on the 25 team. Other schools are absolutely providing a higher % of Rev share to baseball. Ex: it’s been reported that Ark provided all of women’s basketball $ to baseball. I’m sure CTV has examples of portal players he didn’t close because of $ shortages.
If I wasn’t all-consumed by the concern of losing TV and the understandable depression due to what transpired in Tuscaloosa, the decision would be made by now!Ain't you a week late on changing your username?
*AND DON'T SUMMON ME TO ANOTHER FORUM WITHOUT A HEADS-UP, @CANTEEN_BOY
Let's hope because truly it isn't a good look for Tony or DW imo. Yes he is a phenomenal Coach and will likely get a statue. He has already been given just about everything else here. Many say DW is greedy yet it looks to me like TV is being greedy when you consider all. These are just the optics based on what has been said. For as much love as TV has shown Pat summit and been a supporter of every sport, it would seem really “off” for him to split over “not getting his fair share”.
