I can understand TV frustration..TV has earned everything that’s came to him including NIL donations…in my opinion Kim Caldwell was doing just fine in recruiting.makes no sense why you would want to take a chance on rocketing that boat especially if he didn’t run it by him first.

I don’t have enough information to form a valid argument about baseball. But big picture, I’m more impressed with what DW has done already and is currently doing with the athletic department. I love Tony and want him to stay at all costs. But if that cost means DW may walk sooner than later, I’d rather he go and make is mark in the pros.

I think you’re underselling the importance of an elite AD, especially in the NIL era.

It’s not a coincidence that all programs are rolling like they are right now.

I just hope we don’t lose Tony. If we do we do. White will do what he can to keep him but it’s his decision. If he leaves then by most accounts Elander will step up into the role. He will be supported tremendously. We’ll see how it goes

My fear is TV going to SF getting fired in a couple of years and taking the Arkansas job.

Aug 25th 2024 we made him highest-paid coach in college baseball. Vols reward baseball coach Vitello with $3M deal

Sept 4th 2025 LSU gave Johnson a raise. LSU makes Jay Johnson the highest-paid college baseball coach in the nation

I'm sure if the .5 mill was a sticking point, we could make that right really easily.

It's always funny watching folks try to figure out whether Richard G. West is a total troll who sometimes guesses right or a secret insider predicting Tennessee news before anyone publicly is reporting it.

Probably so. But he’s been more right than he’s been wrong. So if he’s guessing, then I hope for his sake he’s playing the lottery.
