Gregory Schiano sure as hell said yes.
And I was one of the ones saying to go all in on second year APSU coach Will Healy.

God turned us down?

I actually think He helped line up the dominoes to get us what we have now. And looking past this last weekend and taking in the totality of everything I'm glad we got blessed with Heupel because outside of Saban or Urban Meyer, I don't think anyone could have turned us around this fast...........that said, we are definitely wandering in the wilderness, although we have been freed from exile. Unfortunately even Moses was not allowed to enter Canaan before his death, he was only allowed to get close to it and see it...........we'll see how the rest of the year turns out I guess.

At least Mullen beat Georgia and got to an SEC championship game. Those are things that Josh needs to do to take the next step.

That was in an entirely different SEC than we have seen over the last 4-5 years. We were unfortunately down during those 10-12 years, but before NIL and the portal and with the divisions it was a hell of a lot easier to get to an SECCG from the East Division.

Now that I think about it, that season wasn’t that impressive. Florida beat one good team that year lol

We are in contention for the playoff almost every year. I’d love to know how that is “wandering in the wilderness.”

Doeren turned us down because the fanbase told him he wasn’t welcome. Which is fine, he would have been fired by now.
I used to work in retail. I remember that the store I worked at, a customer came in wearing a North Carolina State T-Shirt. That was a few days after he turned us down and we were still looking for a Coach. I said, "North Carolina State, huh? You're a fan?" She said, "Yes, I am." Then I replied, "Well, then tell your Coach thank you for turning us down". Her face turned red and she stormed off while I was laughing so hard.

all those coaches mentioned did not all get offers. Not sure any got to the offer stage or even money discussion stage. Most indicated lack of interest before any offer.

Meh, Franklin and Napier I agree with.

I honestly think Mullen is a good coach and would have done well in Knoxville.

Currie dragged his feet and Florida moved on from Kelly.
