Who’s going to change things for him? Danny White? Nope - not happening. Haslam - see previous Nope. Heupel is here until he doesn’t want to be or Danny White leaves and takes him with him. It’s that simple. So people can fuss about his play calling, his conservative approach, his team’s lack of discipline, poor performance on the road, his weight or his scruffy face, etc., but ladies and gents, he’s not going anywhere, and deep down inside in places you don’t talk about at parties, you want him on that wall - you need him on that wall. Have a bourbon and relax. It’s all going to be OK. OK? GBO!
I’m not against him at all, but we know what can happen when things trend the wrong way over time and changes aren’t made when they should be. Danny White could keep him all he wants, but if the fans start to bail as we’ve seen in some previous years, then things happens. Like Wes said, it’s how things work and he’s getting paid millions to make it work for him.

With that being said, he just needs to learn from the mistakes and keep improving. He resurrected us from the dead, but that doesn’t get you a lifetime contract in this sport

Try a scotch.
If Scotch is the preferred libation of the sophisticates, then I failed the entrance exam. Over the years, I have had good friends treat me to a variety of what they said were really good Scotch Whiskeys...and they know their booze...but I just couldn't make it work for me. Including some local stuff in Scotland back when I was riding boats. I drank it...'cause the last thing you want to do is fight a Scotchman who's drunker than you...but it just didn't work for me.

For me, it's bourbon. I'm not a bourbon snob, but bourbon...in order to be bourbon...has to be made in Kentucky. And I draw the line at $50/bottle. My default is Elijah Craig, and I do like Buffalo Trace as well. If I can find the single barrel on sale, I grab it.

But hats off to those who drink it.

Ark. didn't seem to have any problem at all playing in Knoxville a couple of Sat. ago. only 1 penalty the entire game, but very good play offensively. There has to be some reason we play so poorly on the road. Whatever we have been doing in game prep for road games needs to be thrown out the window and try something else.
Arkansas has the better Coaching staff. To be half the team on the road you are at home is preposterous.

I can drink "good" moonshine, but have never had a taste for any Bourbon. My sons love it and do not like scotch. For me, a good Scotch on the rocks is the best.

Maybe an outlier but the LSU game in 2022 at LSU was pretty strong on the road. Idk…we’ll see going forward. And the win last year at Oklahoma was positive as well. JMO…but I think we have other more important issues than road weariness 🤷‍♂️. Idk
We also annihilated Missouri on the road a few years ago.

Josh reminds me of Fulmer on an accelerated schedule without a national championship.

Fulmer was hitting his stride right about this stage and was in the middle of a 45-5 run with with 2 SEC titles and 1 NC. Then the rot slowly started to set in. Players out of position, sloppy tackling, 3rd and long got worse and worse as time went on.

Phil, with his past success and his staunch stance on "staff continuity" let everything slowly slip away from him. Also, down the stretch I think we had an AD that was initially "fan friendly" (Stadium renovations, gave away prizes at games, etc) but refused to hold Phil accountable for underperforming assistants like Randy Sanders, Larry Slade, Pat Washington, etc.

Let's hope the current HC and AD don't make these same mistakes.

And at Missouri that year also

Edit: 2021 was the blowout win at Missouri

yes, 1 penalty the whole game that was flagged. How many didn't get flagged, I lost count at 6.

Is that why we beat them in just about every stat on Saturday?
Sometimes the team is better than the sum of its parts.

To answer you question, except for rushing yards and maybe including them, the bulk of those stats occurred after the game was in hand. The hurry up offense, at the end, had CJH used it the entire game, may have changed the outcome.

Did you not watch the game or entire game?
