Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

3 wishes for the offseason:
1. a true safety, preferably a FS that can hawk the field
2. an injection of creativity in the offense again
3. a timeout guy. doesn't have to be a high-paid assistant. just someone to manage the clock for josh.
I would ike to know if he has an analytics guy on staff who is on the headset somewhere. I still contend that we should have gone for two when we went up 34-30 against UGA. I never played and usually have to rely on watching again and again to see things, but this was one thought I had when we scored.

Whatever happens from here this season (8-4 is still my guess), we need to stick with Heupel

From the beginning I thought of this as an 7-8 year journey to possible glory, sort of like Harbaugh at Michigan (possible cheating notwithstanding).
Is this even a discussion? I had hopes that JA could figure it out enough to contend for the playoffs. He made a mistake against Bama, but he wasn't the issue against UGA. It's pretty remarkable that we are here with him coming in June. It's even more remarkable that Heupel had Nico lead us to the playoffs last year.

Let's take a step back and look at the big picture:
- Heupel is 42-17 overall.
- He has gotten to a NY6 bowl and the playoffs.
- We go into every game now thinking that we can win.
- He is about to get a 5 star QB and a 5 star WR to add to this roster with more talent in the defensive front 7.
- We just need a few tweaks and to add some talent to the defensive backend.

Saying Heup should be fired is about as bad as OSU fans wanting Ryan Day gone last year. Not worth entertaining. It’s certainly fair to criticize where applicable though.
Short memories. Not all is/was Heupel's fault. Pick 6 100% on JA, inaccurate. That said, we are not a button up team. Bama was this week.

Do you get migraines? When you get one, does every little reflection irritate you?
I don't know if what I get are migraines but I do get really bad headaches and the best thing I have figured out to get rid of them is to put an ice pack on your head for about 15-20 minutes. It takes awhile for the blood to flow away from your head, which is what causes headaches, but it usually works for me. Worth a try. i have a refreezapble pack I keep in my freezer.

You must be his wife because you post like you know more about him than anyone but he himself?

Come on dude, everyone has their opinions but NO ONE outside the actual coaches know nearly as much as you claim to.
Buddy it was and is my job to figure out what makes people and coaches tick. That's how you develop strategery. Go and examine his actions and tendencies in the past and the present, ignore a coaches words. It ain't rocket surgery.

The path is to win 5 in a row. I don’t see us doing that either, but the path is there. We’ll likely be favored in all of them, except maybe Vanderbilt (strange as it sounds).
We're at home vs Candy. They won't be favored. The Pony Carts are at home and FU is in chaos, we'll win out.
