Not sold on Vrabel. Sure he is having a nice season but he had some early great seasons with us.....until he crapped out. Yeah, whatever excuse you want to make about ownership, GM,etc... but in the end he's the coach and that record is on him. Lets see how much those Bostoners like him in 4 yrs when the team is all his and he's hovering around .500
Are you going to sit up here and say that he had zero to do with how bad the 2023 season went? Do you think 2024 would have been markedly better had he stayed? The problem isn't that we fired Vrabel; it's that we didn't fully clean house and get rid of him, Carthon, and Brinker at the same time. This is example of peak coping.

Didn’t he want Malik Willis though?Vrabel was the coach, not the GM. He did not want Levis, but they forced the pick. He didn’t want AJ Brown traded, they forced the trade upon him.
He made the best of the roster that the front office gave him.
He’s won more games in 7 weeks this year than the Titans have won since firing him over 2 years ago.
The Titans traded a competent head coach for a nepobaby who’s only accomplishment was fooling a franchise owner that he was the Joe Burrow whisperer for holding the title of OC for the bengals.
Like most of the trades that Strunk has pushed, it was the Titans who lost bigly.
Didn’t he want Malik Willis though?
Also Strunk had very little to do with the Brown trade, from what all can be told. That was Robinson thinking he was playing 4-D chess.
Doesn’t matter. After 2 years behind the offensive lines repeatedly allowing 5th most sacks in the NFL, he had to have season-ending surgery in July because this happened to him at some point during the 2024 season:

Hopefully they can swing a trade for the #2 overall pick since the Jets aren't gonna give up on earning the #1, and build the o-line and grab a really good WR. They have said they are not trading Simmons, but really anybody should be available for trade at this point.Yes, I realize he’s hurt. Cam starting is not because of that, imo.
Doesn’t bode well for Cam’s body. Titans are 2nd in sacks allowed.
I understand both sides of the argument where Simmons is concerned. Many fans are tired of seeing our best players going to other teams. Otoh, we have so many deficiencies I don't know if it's plausible to rebuild through drafts and FA. My gut tells me we would need an almost miraculous hit rate on players for that method to yield results.Hopefully they can swing a trade for the #2 overall pick since the Jets aren't gonna give up on earning the #1, and build the o-line and grab a really good WR. Agreed, if we were offered above market value for Simmons you take it. Otherwise he should stay here. But if someone is willing to significantly overpay and you can address deficiencies in your roster you should be willing to do it.I understand both sides of the argument where Simmons is concerned. Watching the game yesterday, it looks like Sweat is over leveraged and doesn't shed blocks efficiently. if he could play to potential like simmons, the IDL is set for a few more years. We can build around that core.Agreed, if we were offered above market value for Simmons you take it. Otherwise he should stay here. Starting a rookie QB without a solid o-line and servicable skill players is asking for either him to get killed out there or wildly inconsistent play with a bunch of turnovers. You also risk serious damage to his confidence. Cam seems to have all the physical tools and plenty of confidence, but he needs some help.Through 6 games I think it's enough of a sample size to compare Levis and Ward.
I was actually kind of surprised at for drastic the difference is...... But there are some things to consider.
Ward has an inexperienced wr group, But Levis had an inferior o line. To me this is largely a wash, if give a little more benefit of the doubt to Ward though.
But even with that benefit of the doubt Cam Ward has turned the ball over in similar fashion, and been much less productive in the running and passing games.
IMO Levis' issues stem from poor decisions/trying to make something happen. Cam Ward's issues are a little bit harder for me to dissect. I'm not encouraged by what I'm seeing from him, I'm not sure what his issues are.
Edit to add:
I'm not even saying I'm out on Cam, just that I think we handled his draft and development all wrong. We did a huge disservice to him by drafting him where we did given the state of our rebuild.
Cam has a better line that Levis did. Levis had better/more experienced receivers. Same running backs, Cam has better talent at TE.Starting a rookie QB without a solid o-line and servicable skill players is asking for either him to get killed out there or wildly inconsistent play with a bunch of turnovers.
